Amtrak's Brand New ALC-42 Charger 300! Railfanning Mendota, IL 6/14/21

I had a nice couple of hours railfanning BNSF and Amtrak in Mendota. I caught the WB and EB California Zephyrs, the WB Southwest Chief, and two BNSF freights. Enjoy.

Nice catches. The new charger provides a sharp contrast to the genesis locomotives pulling the unit. It won’t be long to they start going into service.

Amtrak will have more Siemens Charger ALC42s,more CAF Viewliner baggage cars,new Siemens Wander Baggage Cars and the 3rd generation of bi-level intercity rail cars that I drew.They will all have 50th Anniversary,Phase I,Phase II,Phase III,Phase IV,Phase V,Phase VI,Phase VII and the new Phase VIII that I colored in with the colors Midnight Blue,Royal Blue,Red and Orange.
