Olau Line Advertising Film 1990 (Jumbo Ferries MS Olau Hollandia & MS Olau Britannia)

The legendary German Olau Line advertising film "hard to believe but true" from 1990. (English subtitles) In this promotional film, the two new ferries Olau Hollandia and Olau Britannia on the Vlissingen - Sheerness ferry route between the Netherlands and England are presented.
The Olau Hollandia was built in 1989 and the Olau Britannia was built in 1990 in Bremerhaven at the Schichau Seebeck shipyard. The Olau Hollandia was put into service between Sheerness and Vlissingen on 04 October 1989.
The Olau Britannia was put into service on 21 May 1990.
With the Olau Hollandia and Olau Britannia in service, the Olau Line shipping company had the largest and most luxurious ferries in the English Channel at this time.
But in 1994 came the end of the Olau Line shipping company and the end of the Olau Hollandia and Olau Britannia on the Vlissingen - Sheerness route.
The Olau Britannia made her last voyage on the route Vlissingen - Sheerness on 12 May 1994 and 3 days later on 15 May 1994 the sister ship Olau Hollandia made her last voyage on this route with the 11 o'clock departure from Sheerness.
