Honestly the iPad 9 is the best iPad for 99% of people. You got a headphone jack, the Home Button, the keyboard is fine, the apple pencil is fine. The iPad Air looks cool but you don't really need it, and the iPad Pro is just a waste of money.

@roseforyoubabe most people(including me) won't care about the bezels because the screen is still decently sizes. And 64g is plenty for basic documents and downloading a couple of movies. Also you can do a lot of that on the cloud and the 256g is always a option but I do think there should be a micro sd slot or atleast a 150g option
@@TechbroGT13 64 in 2024 is nowhere near enough for most people who use ipads many people game or have movies on tablets

And yet, I still use the base model iPad 9 as my art and drawing machine with the Apple Pencil regulardless!
I just finished a year of grad school in international relations with no laptop, just a 64GB iPad 9, knockoff “Apple Pencil”, and Logitech Combo Touch case. This little device and particular setup is so powerful that it’s actually my main device. I’ve used it for all my papers, readings, job applications, and presentations. Lots of highlighting, annotating, scribbling on the sides of PowerPoints in OneNote. My friends and I have even watched lectures and movies on it. I’m not a big gamer, so 64GB’s been more than enough. I have enough room to download a few movies on Netflix and do some light sketching on it. It is capable of so much more than I think people realize and I will love mine forever

this ipad is still good and its still serves me this 2024 i used to play games watching video and listening to music all are well balanced and good for price its not much difference to 9th gen

Honestly, I also use an iPad 9 in 2024, mainly as my drawing device with ProCreate and the Apple Pencil. It replaced my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 which a got for Christmas in 2015 when I was in 6th Grade. I replaced the Tab 4 7.0 with the iPad in Christmas 2021, and despite the screen being non-laminated and the bezels being thick, I still use it for art with the Apple Pencil regardless.
So it' works good work procreate and second Gen pencil
I still use my iPad Air second generation. Lags a bit but for what I use it, the only drawback is that the apps no longer support updates for this mode. Damn you Amazon.
I have an iPad 9 (that I’m using to watch this video) which I’ve had for a year now, and I love it! Performance is still good, and the battery lasts me most of the day on my days off work, otherwise it only needs charged about every other night. I’m going to let this iPad age some before I upgrade.

after using iphone 13 for 24 months, i bought ipad 9 in 2024 as extra device and it feels laggy. unstable GPU performance while scrolling in apps, glitches in safari. low price seems to give lower performance that other ipads. good price-quality ratio however. love heaphone jack, home button, screen accuracy and casing design
Finally got iPad 9 gen ….it’s beast in performance in this price range and iPad os is fully optimised for ipads

I got one for $200 cash sealed brand new on Facebook marketplace. Bought the pencil. This thing is STILL a powerhouse for that price. Was gonna get a 10 but got this and I’m gonna see what the 11 brings. Can’t complain about paying $200 for this! Is the look dated? Sure but it doesn’t feel dated.

The Ipad is the better option hands down. I don’t see why people harp over the laminated screen. The iPad is better in every way including the screen, the only thing you’re missing is external storage.
The IPad 9 is like a big iPhone 11, Samsung budget tabs are more competitive with the kindles.
There’s a reason schools buy budget iPads over budget Samsungs

A few weeks ago, I went through a long process of researching and comparing iPads. I ended up buying the iPad 9 base model on Amazon for $250 brand new, and I do not regret it. I found that I vastly overestimated how much I would use the iPad for, and I am glad I did not spend $500+ on an Air or used Pro. If you’re hesitating like I did, I recommend you buy the 9.

I have a Mac desktop, Iphone and the Ipad 9. We use our Ipad to show our photography clients their images at their session. We have our Canon camera wirelessly synced to the Ipad. Clients love holding it and swiping to see the images we photographed of them instead of looking at a small screen on the back of our camera.

I have both. S6 lite (p619) bought last year is slower and started making problems. Lags. Bought iPad 9 and no problem. Simply Works and does what I need. Only cellular option is too expensive for me.

The point is: Apple products always work cleanly and reliably, even in old age, like a well-oiled machine. I recently tried out the Samsung Tab S9 in an electronics store. As soon as I touched it, the first micro-jerks appeared and the stuttering started, as always.... Nah, give it a rest. I'd rather have a year-old iPad that works.
i have had some glitches with ipads, but yes they are fairly reliable in most cases
If you get it for under 250 brand new then yes it's still worth it,but it's not fast charging compatible speakers still on one side but sound good and still has 3 gb ram and they only come with black bezels which was a big mistake from apple if you ask me. Heck don't ask me just go online and see what a iPad 7 or 8 with white bezels are going for,yes appearance matters folks and to alot of people.

I would rather purchase a 2018 iPad Pro than a 2021 iPad. Apple tablets, smartphones, and smartwatches these days are getting more and more timeless that I wouldn’t call you crazy if you were to consider purchasing a Apple device made 8-9 years back. The iPhone X still holds up very well and the iPhone 6s Plus is still flawless even in 2024. Hopefully, Apple can one day make a tablet that supports not 4, not 6, and not 8, but 25 years of iPadOS updates!

It’s only 3 years old thats pretty new. I have an iPad Air 2 released in 2014 and works flawlessly.
I better hunt this iPad out at a great price before it gets sold out in my city.

But which one may be useful for me in 3 more years ? I just heard iPad 9 has just been stopped being produced more after the release of the newest iPads in 2024.

Ipad 9 is for students and because of 4:3 ratio you can take notes easier vertically. xiaomi is definitely better for content consumption/streaming because of higher Ppi and 16:10 ratio, DCi-P3 technology, HDR10+ and dolby vision support so it really depends your priorities. also depends on price difference.

@@FishBeeProductions I've never owned an Ipad. I do have an Iphone 13 so Apple is not totally foreign to me. Would this one be a good starting point in the Ipad world? I mostly use Chromebooks these days and put Windows behind me and don't miss it. I have a second home and think an Ipad might be good to have there.
