Winnie Johnson, you’re right! In the end Brad Bell made sure that Ridge was forever tied to Brooke. He made sure people forgot about Taylor and Ridge being a formidable, mature, loving couple. I can’t watch the show any more. I think I stopped watching it around 2002 and then sporadically watched it in 2005/2006. The storylines became more ludicrous, incestuous etc and Ridge became the biggest wimp I’d ever seen. He played both women & turned against them so quickly! The writers destroyed this show.
Caroline is the only woman Ridge had ever truly loved. Brooke and Taylor were used by Ridge. When he was with Brooke he wanted to be with Taylor and when he was with Taylor he wanted to be with Brooke, but when they both had another man he was angry and jealous and told those men: Stay away from them. Ridge was an arrogant jerk. You don't understand what Brooke and Taylor saw in him.
In dont wish she never came back because i didn’t like her character. I loved Taylor and I LOVED Taylor and Ridge as a couple!!! But when she came back they completely ruined her character and their love story by trying to get viewers to forget how much they loved each other in favor of the Brooke and Ridge story. It’s just really annoying how they brought her back only to try to demolish her character. Taylor and Ridge deserved better. They also destroyed multiple people’s characters on the show like Stephanie, Tridge(Taylor and Ridge), Steffy,Bill,Nick. All of them great characters in the beginning but eventually they were trashed!!!
Correct. Such a heart felt scene that Brooke should have seen and heard . Tridge was pure magic they had the best story lines. But then the writers messed it all up and destroyed the best couple.
The 2nd invalid wedding for Brooke Logan and Ridge Forrester! Brooke Logan and Ridge Forrester was never meant to be in any relationship or marriage together!

the rewrite of the show past 2002 sucked. They really had a moment in 2005 when they brought Taylor back to resurrect Tridge. But Bell Jr. definitely screwed it up

And Ridge, post this scene, stopped giving a shit about her. He took her back briefly then left her because she was being a hypocrite and lied to him about James… (like he wasn’t not a massive hypocrite & cheat with Morgan). And then he proceeded on the same, bullshit merry-go-round with Brooke...Taylor was never the independent person she was pre-2002. All the storylines onwards were boring. About the same time I stopped watching...this scene proved me right in making that decision..!

Unlike his father who was a master storyteller, who would've given a satisfying resolution to his storylines, Brad doesn't know how to "close the deal"! Most of Brad's villains got off relatively easy, and someone like Brooke-who've slept with her sister's and daughters' husbands and boyfriends-never truly faced the long-term consequences of her actions (ex.: when Bridget found out about Nick and Brooke's feelings for each other, she raged against both of them and swore to disown both of them; years later, who shows up for Hope's baby shower? Bridget, all happy and even greeted her mom despite what happened with Nick). Sure, Hope is the constant reminder of Brooke's affair with Deacon, but that's the extent of it.
