    I have black aluminum dog tags which I thought were ok for sublimation. They are not, is there anything I can put on them to make them suitable for sublimation?

      You might try spray painting them white with a polyurethane-based paint? That might work. Not only is the poly-coating important, but the color as well. Since sublimation printers don't have white ink, it is virtually impossible to get any good, visible results on black or dark-colored materials. That's why all sublimation blanks are white or light-colored.

    Is there any sublimation coating liquid which i can use

      We have yet to test any product that we'd readily carry on our site or even recommend. So far no product has given consistent results with a relatively simple application, while being cost-effective.

      The indented mug can be customized with an oven wrap, like the HIX 4" Mug Wrap - heat.press/mugwrap

      Sublimation by a long shot. This is very permanent, since you are dyeing the item and not just putting ink on the surface.

      TexPrint-XPHR is a great option for sublimation - heat.press/xphr
      Heat press settings vary by product and ink coverage on your artwork, but is usually between 365°-400°F and 60-90 seconds. Every sublimation blank on our website has specific instructions provided in the product description. We recommend using those settings first and adjusting if necessary.

    You should sell a Blank Sample kit so customers can make and market them before buying blanks they don't need to keep in stock.

    • @HeatPressNation
      @HeatPressNation  Před 4 lety

      That is a great idea! We actually just started including a sample kit with new sublimation printer purchases. I imagine if that does well, we'll start to carry other sample packs available for separate purchases.

      @@HeatPressNation Well, if you only sell sample kits to those that buy a printer, you eliminated customers that already have a printer but what to market & sell your different blanks. I suggest putting together a sample kit of blanks (i.e.: mugs, keychains, plates, phone covers, flip-flops, etc.) and just start selling those to everyone else.

      We don't carry sublimation rolling trays. But there are tons of sublimation blanks available, so they might be out there somewhere.

    Can this sublimation process be used on polyurethane products?

    • @HeatPressNation
      @HeatPressNation  Před 4 lety

      Possibly? Some people have mentioned that they have used a polyurethane sealant on some products to allow them to be sublimated. But since we haven't tested this, we cannot recommend it. (If you do try it, please let us know how it goes.)
