The cleanliness is EXACTLY what this band needs, no overplaying just NAILING grooves. Absolutely top tier stuff dude as per ✌️🙏
This guys talent gets overshadowed by Courtney but he fits the band absolutely perfectly and always delivers extremely solid drumming.
His drumming is just incredibly solid and fits the parts of the song perfectly...
I listened to the down beat podcast with them on it. Their guitarist writes everything including drums, sends it to Zev and he will add or change parts that he would play which is what I did recording my bands album. Middy drums really help finding those fills that suit. Hence why Zev is so crisp

What you are hearing is definitely a sample. Either partially mixed with the original snare sound or on its own. It's way too consistent to be pure mic on the rim shots.

In my opinion you are the best drummer Spiritbox could find. Your playstyle fits perfect to the songs and to the music. The 3 New Songs, (The Void, Jaided, Cellar Door) are outstanding drumming, too. Big Respect to your talent!

This guy is solid, no hiccups. Doesn’t over complicate things and then underperform live accordingly. Like so many other bands.
