#calmlands200challenge - Hry
OK lots of info there, I can say the top 5 for pulling at speed are
35.87 sec Deutz M650 @ $32k
47.06 sec Schluter Super 950 @ $22.8k
48.44 sec Deutz Agrostar @ $61.8k
49.61 sec IH1246 @ $38k
49.87 sec Lizard 7305Auto @ $98k
Looks to me like the M650 is looking for competition, have FUN!
22:35 those two grasses are essentially the same - and the cultivated ground shows it. on the right is the standard MEADOW texture, which you can also paint in via the construction menu. the one on the right is the "map" default - which uses both MEADOW, and the red flowers / weeds that were used to programmatically paint the whole map with a random variance - those weeds/flowers relate to the lighter brown areas in the cultivated ground. Both will grow back as MEADOW once mowed once, but initially the game thinks of them differently, which is the reason for the mottled cultivated texture.
Ah….figured there was an explanation…in a later episode you’ll see some planted grass which looks different from everything….
Great episode. Happy birthday 🎉.
No manure with the 5000 cow pasture.
Ok that’s what I figured. I tried to place every manure option and nothing took. Thanks!!
@@northernfarmsim I was going to recommend a mod but I think you’re good on the recommendations.
@@brawndofarms2580 is it a cow mod?
@@northernfarmsim Claas Ares 600 lol
@@brawndofarms2580 Ah ok cool. I actually just downloaded that the other day when I was scrubbing ModHub for 200HP tractors. I haven't tried it but it might make a good next/additional tractor.
#5, Deutz M650, 190hp / 34mph, $32,000 - UHE=24.9 sec - UHF=35.87 sec- Noisy tractor, but well worth it.
Loved the marathon story, good stuff.
One of the crazier things I’ve seen but I totally get it, lol. Sometimes you just need that smack in the head, that extra bit of a push or just a reminder about what you’re doing and you can get it done. 😀😀👍👍
Happy Birthday, to answer your question on growth stage doesn't chant, you're able to plant any time. If there is snow on the ground you'll have to wait till it disappears before you can harvest or cut grass
Thanks man
27:30 that spreader (alongside the 82studio 6-ton spreader and a few others) are both set to have a low (
Really happy with this one…better if it had maybe 2500L but all good.
What spreader were you using. Looking for the same mod.
Thanks
What spreader were you using. Looking for the same mod.
Thanks
Great work, cows sound great. You moving along well.
Thanks Rusty, just plugging away and looking forward to harvest!
you're looking at the map is exactly how I'm looking at the modhub: "that's enough with the mods, you have over 1000 installed already. you don't need those, you never gonna use that, you have the one exactly like that. ooh, shiny plow!"
Ha ha exactly. “All we need to be 100% whole in life is this last piece of property. Once I buy it I’ll be happy….ok deal done….now on to the next piece of property”, lol
#8, Valmet 905, 167hp / 24mph, $40,500 - UHE=28.33 sec - UHF=55.93 sec - goes forward a bit when reversing
The area on the other side of the river would be a good place for animals and greenhouses. The grow time on the crops not using seasons is the same length of time from the time planted and is not based on the month restriction in seasons.
That’s an interesting idea for the other side of the river, maybe using it for animals or greenhouses… I was also thinking it may be a nice place for like a sunflower field if my house was looking out over the river. Also, on the crops, I kind of figured that maybe they grow times were going to be the same as when I’m using seasons… I think ultimately I’ll probably go 12 months in game and then just fix to maybe July or something so I can avoid the snow and just have nice weather forever, lol
#14, Erkunt 130, 150hp / 26mph, $84,700 - UHE=29.39 sec - UHF=61 sec - long nose, but narrow tractor.
#4, White FB2-155, 170hp / 22mph, $31,800 - UHE=31.16 sec - UHF=60.29 sec- goes forward a bit when reversing
#6, Fortschritt ZT403, 150hp / 27mph, $33,500 - UHE=27.83 sec - UHF=91.26 sec- ride smooth, lousy puller
#9, Deutz Agrostar, 190hp / 26mph, $61,800 - UHE=26.06 sec - UHF=48.44 sec
#13, JD6030, 135hp / 33mph, $84,000 - UHE=23.31 sec - UHF=62.54 sec - fast by itself, ok puller
#12, Lizard 6205turbo, 175hp / 30mph, $63,500 - UHE=31.04 sec - UHF=116.23 sec - lousy puller
For precision farming, the deep dark blue is over-fertilization or an excessive pH. As for the soil in the field, Loam is the best, at 125% yeild. followed by Sandy Loam at a little over 100%, then loamy sand and silty clay being the worst. Silty clay is the lowest yield at a maximum of 88-89%. In terms of seasons being off, it does not affect the visual seasons, only the crop calendar, by which, you can plant and harvest your crops at any time. With seasons off, your crops will not die off when the "season" ends.
Edit: Forgot to say excellent work on the farm! its really coming together nicely. Look forward to seeing how this series progresses.
Hey thanks man. When you say “crops won’t die” does that mean once they are ready to harvest they won’t wither?
@@northernfarmsim Correct. With seasons off, just the crop seasons are turned off. so you'll not have to worry about seasonal withering.
@@jakeperkins7497 OK that’s good to know. I have a feeling once things are really humming along harvesting with one day per month might get a bit hectic. If I’ve got the opportunity to let the crops sit for an additional month without losing them then it will probably help me at some point. Thanks for all the information, I really appreciate it.
#17, JD7810, 175hp 26mph, $99,500 - UHE=32.40 sec - UHF=59.31 sec
Very nice video buddy

Great job buddy.

#2, Schluter Super 950, 95hp / 21mph, $22,800 - UHE=33.05 sec - UHF=47.06 sec- good puller, too bad max speed @ 21
Using the same test map I also tested 6 dumptruck style trucks, I will list them in price order low to high 1-6.
UHE=up hill empty, UHF= up hill full, & US=unload speed
#1, Lizard AW700, 136hp / 68mph, $21.1k - 15,000cap - UHE=30.02 - UHF=49.22 - US=86

#3, Lizard D14,000, 130hp / 80mph, $37k - 14,500cap - UHE=62.14 - UHF=85.7 - US=23
#4, Lizard 1518, 195hp / 55mph, $42.5k - 26,000cap - UHE=30.55 - UHF=69.64 - US=15 ! dangie

#6, Fiat 682N4, 179hp / 37mph, $62.5k - 15,000cap - UHE=48.13 - UHF=50.40 - US=20
Time is not the only issue:
the 1518 is a grain hauler, does not do grass & silage.
the MB U1600 is the Unimog it can do many tractor jobs as well.
the W50LA is the only dump truck other than the Unimog that can pull another trailer, guess this one depends on what you are looking for. Be well all.
@kenstauder5013 That's all some great info - but spread across all the comments it's a bit hard to follow (since the comments don't stay in order) = - you wouldn't happen to have a spreadsheet or screenshot of spreadsheet of the posted data for tractors & trucks?
@@gmngjoy it was all done with paper and pencil, I do have a scanner, copied them as jpeg files hope you can read my stuff. I need a email to send em to, sorry not a discord guy any more.
#10, Same Big, 189hp / 26mph, $62,200 - UHE=28.51 sec - UHF=64.36 sec
sorry I'm a bit of a chatty Cathy today, so much good info to share
Not at all, no need to apologize for providing all of that information. I was actually thinking I might be looking for a dump truck or a tanker truck in the future when it’s time for the big harvest, and also as cows begin to provide milk. Typically I go with a tractor and a trailer, but was thinking I might try something different so the information will definitely help.
You were speaking a few times about hiring workers. I highly recommend courseplay mod if you plan on having to drill oddly shaped fields. It works well.
Yeah, I should definitely take a harder look at coarseplay at some point. To be honest with you I just didn’t want to introduce a new concept to my already overloaded brain, lol. I find farming simulator is just a nice way to relax and kill a couple of hours and I keep thinking that if I take on courseplay , then it might change the game for me or something….also a funny side note…I used voice-to-text for this and if I hadn’t stopped to proofread before sending it would have been a response talking about horseplay and cosplay, lol. Good job autocorrect.
ROFL @ cosplay My suggestion was purely from a standpoint "not enough time in the day" aspect where you have like 4 or 5 wheat fields and 2 canola fields needing harvested. Thats where courseplay comes to help.@@northernfarmsim
@@ShaunNuzzo I don’t think I’ve ever lasted on a map long enough to get to that many fields for harvesting, lol. Now that I’m recording and posting, I’ll probably have no choice but to get to that point, so yeah, you’re probably right. It can’t be that hard to learn….😀😀
#7, IH1246, 150hp / 27mph, $38,000 - UHE=26.08 sec - UHF=49.61 sec-
#1, Oliver 1855 turbo, 150hp / 20mph, $13,000 - UHE=37.22 sec - UHF=64.24 sec- deep thought engine, not a good puller, reverse yuck.
#11, IH1455, 145hp / 27mph, $62,200 - UHE=30.08 sec - UHF=75.14 sec - rolls over too easy
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Ha ha, thanks!
Also with seasons off you can pay attention to the growth of the crops so how fast they grow, Oats WILL be ready in 4 months! You can also set the visual month to a different month in the settings and it WONT snow when it is forecasted in the weather. Just rain.
@@leo_7477 I found the visual month setting after I was a couple months in so I figured I’d run as-is for year 1 and then fix it to like July climate after that….not sure. I live in a snowy climate so having summer 12m of the year in game seems appealing.
@northernfarmsim just finished the episode, One more thing on the Manure, You have to place the Manure Extension under Silo Extensions next to the cow pasture, once you add the straw into the pasture it will then spawn maure into the Extension and you can withdraw the maure from there
@@leo_7477 I'll have to check again...when I finally placed the open pasture I wasn't able to place a manure pit...also I don't see that straw is a requirement/option for the cows the same as it is with other cow enclosures. Maybe I just missed it, I'll have to look again later.
#3, Deutz D06, 82hp / 20mph, $25,500 - UHE=32.70 sec - UHF=87.34 sec- not a good puller
I did a test of 17 tractors all under 200hp, it will show tractor model, cost, speed to go up hill, & speed to go up hill when pulling 22,500 liters. I painted a starting line and a finish line near the top left hand corner of the Calm map, using a stop watch, the results are as follows #1-#17 order by price low to high.
Key * UHE = Up Hill empty (tractor alone)
UHF = Up Hill Full 22,500 of silage
sec= seconds
Hope this helps you all!
If you have a tractor you want tested leave me the model and price, I will find it, test, and post the results.
Hey wow. Great details. Crazy to see the differences. Thanks!
Without seasons its a so many growth stages/months there is a stages mod that will tell you how many months
Ok cool, I'll look for the mod, it sounds helpful for sure.
You lose yield when you use a cultivator to create your field over a plow.
Ok good to know. I'm just trying to avoid having to cut fields with that small plow but I'm limited by HP. I wonder how much it effects the yield?
Are you by any chance running lumberjack with piwer tools have had issues with that
Not on this series but I was on Hinterland and it was causing a random spinning...? All of a sudden the camera would spin uncontrollably. After some digging I found it was Lumberjack and one of the many mods that create super powers so I removed them all and only run with lumberjack now.
@@northernfarmsim could also do test of favorite mods on different save and see if you have same issues not sure without seeing complete mod list what could be suspected
@@milesbrush4863 I don’t get the spinning issue anymore after removing all of those power tool and super person mods… Now I run with only lumberjack and I haven’t had any issues since. Usually I would have that issue at least once every time I played, which then led me to walk around with the chainsaw activated all the time, so I didn’t spin, lol. but ever since removing those mods everything has been great.
Dont use hers the ratios are off you would be better to do a windmill flour production and a small say the new pack with the interactive production
Oh really, ok thanks. I'll look at something other then the small buildings...are all her ratios off? Even on the larger buildings, the farm productions buildings?
