Went from a Mini-X to a Med-X and now temp added a Baby-X !!! love it!!!
It would be a good idea to put burial tape above your piping in the trenches. Easier to find your pipe when you dig them up again. And watching you two I think it will happen. 😁
I loved "Boone is on baby duty." 😂 This atmospheric water generator fascinates me. It will be great to see your analytics. Running water. What a blessing that is. 😊
So fun to see you with a diesel creek T-shirt! You guys and him are my favorites!
Now this is what an Ambition Strikes video should be.
Never a dull moment. What won't you guys tackle. Always look forward to adventures with ROC. (although O sleeps a lot.)
The diesel creek t-shirt 👌 Matt deserves it! Nice episode!
Word from operator that does this everyday, put a piece of duct tape over the beeper that way it’s still there but it’s super quiet
Using your grey water to mix concrete. That gives a new meaning to building with sweat equity.
Here in Canada, we call that fine stuff from the screeners, overcrush.
So great to see you guys back at it! Courtney, you look amazing!! Baby Oliver is adorable!! Riley, you’re such a genius and so hardworking!! It’s exciting to see all the improvements, new creations and expansions. The skies the limit! Well done.❤
@12:39 around here, we call that "voluntold" 😁
We put surveyors tape an inch or so above any pipe, water line, electric wire that we put in the ground.
That way, when we dig down and start picking up surveyors tape, we know it's time to dig carefully.
You guys got a whole other YT short channel.
Riley as he wrecks it.
Lots of shorts of those moments that just happen when trying hard.
Maybe.
Wrecking it wit Riley and toys.
Man so much done in 23 minutes and 58 seconds!! That sucks about about the building. I hate fixing mistakes like that. Things are shaping up and can’t wait to see your Atmospheric Generator working. Let’s Go!
What? It's supposed to look like gem forever? Those dings tell a story.
@@Jeff-jg7jh that's so true....good point
Riley you are one smart dude.
I am 61 and have been around the block a few times.
Keep up the great work.
The progress you two have made with regard to your water supply looks really promising!!! WhooHoo!!! And little Oliver is so sweet! What a great addition to your family!!!
Riley, sorry about the bucket putting a hole in the metal siding. Sometimes buckets have a mind of their own and do damage to your property. The tank installation was impressive and the little bucket on the small machine saved you much time. Continued blessings to you three.
Would like a follow-up on how well this water making machine works.
Is part 2 on the way?
came here wondering the exact same thing.
Sorry you had to hear this but part 2 got corrupted in editing. Feels bad man
@peturgullak4527 sorry to hear that the footage was lost
@@hellojamesl you fool. you trusted a random person on the internet. or in other words i lied and have no idea what im talking about.
Y’all have THE best channel!! Excitement, Action, Destruction - along with large equipment, solar on a grand scale, and Love of family!! What else could you ask for??!! ❤️❤️
I wish this video was alittle longer, seeing Ollie and Kourtney inside your home even. But excellent work as usual Riley!❤
Pretty neat. Looking forward to the next part.
Oh my! What a storm, just when u dug a huge hole ! Now u have a pool!
Here's an observation, which hopefully you've already considered - in your area, Sandpoint ID, there is an average of about 23" of rain (not including snowfall) per year, the footprint of your shop/home (30x40) is 1200sqft. that means that for every square foot of footprint, 23" of rain falls on it which totals 27,600 cubic feet of water per year, which is 206,462 gallons of water per year...
So as an alternative to your future system, all you'd have to do is buy and bury a tank (like you've just done) and get an advanced rainwater filtration system such as reverse osmosis, activated charcoal system, etc.
Can you tell us why you didn't go the water harvesting route?
Congrats on the Diesel Creek t-shirt😀
Yeah, I'm wondering the same.
Even an above ground tank for summer and drain it for winter.
Gezzzz guys. I’m dreaming of a place like yours. Super beautiful. Projects are my passion too. Can’t wait for next week to hear about the new excavator and see progress on the water generator.
Really really cool channel guys. 😎
Yeah the water machine that takes water out of the air is awesome 😊 it keeps our 75-gallon tank full even when there's no rain and just clouds🎉😊 now you're going to feel spoiled with all that water😂😂😂😂❤❤
Very understanding Wife. The two of you work well together😀
I think y'all did more in this video than any other I've seen. So much work and you are doing so great.
I came up with a really neat little trick when my kids were little and I needed to work outside. I got a set of walkie talkies and set them to voice activated and would keep one next to the baby monitor inside and I wore the other one with an earpiece. I was able to hear whenever they would wake up even if I was running a chainsaw outside
Nicely done, minus the gash in the siding; but hey, that means more projects for us to enjoy watching. 🙂 It's nice to see your kiddo helping out. He's going to make a great supervisor. It won't be long before he's helping out. God Bless.
i was looking in slow motion and the building in the spot where you hit it. it flexed quite a bit. you might have structural damage (broken boards) i would get that siding off (loos enough to see) and check as soon as possible. defiantly before winter.
Ooh! I just love a good thunderstorm! Just imagine how much water you could have caught from that!
Talache here. You two are an example of what off-gridding can be with the right attitude, and funding. Nice work.
You 2 make such great content and you're both so talented. Thank you!
I'm amazed how far you've come in such a short time Oliver looks fantastic congratulations
When Riley said he had a surprise for Courtney, I wondered if it was another piece of equipment. Yes, a baby ex(cavator). Looking forward to the next installment when you make your own water.
Well Riley at least Courtney put a small hole in the house. Lol It was nice to see baby Oliver was so darn cute. You know you have to keep that small excavator, because Oliver will need that to play in the sand .
The little guy will have more downward digging force if you put the blade behind you, that way the pivot point is farther back
You are right! 9:44 you can see that the front comes up when you dig in. But when you excavate the blade should be in front to prevent the whole machine to be pulled forward towards the bucket. Experienced operators: what‘s the solution? Where should the blade go?
@@berndheiden7630 there is quite a few excavators with no blade, for example Riley’s hitachi has no blade
I watched your abandon property , well digging , road building , & now water tank under the dog run. Questions: do I subscribe on every show or just once forever. Also: where are you at?
Sooo glad ur building off-grid water system !!
Wow, y’all one of a kind couple, getting very well as a couple, solving any problem. Bless y’all.
This is a great channel for more than one reason. First, it is an ongoing "story" that is intriguing, It is educational in that it makes a lot of us aware of new technology. It also inspires me to do things in my own life that are new to me. And I agree with those who have noticed that motherhood has been good for Courtney... she is absolutely glowing! Little Oliver is very lucky to have parents like Riley and Courtney and I think he has a great future ahead of him!
How exciting! I love how you do things together and always with smiles on your faces, even when punching holes in your building! Can't wait for part two...
6:55 Reckless Riley demoted after his little mishap :)
The whole smash the building moved the whole wall 😮
That lightning is intense!!!
So envious. Look forward to next week's video. Stay safe.
Riley was volunTOLD!
The nice thing about lightning is it cleans the air.
Please bear in mind that it can be very cold in winter and that the frost can reach up to 30 cm deep, which means that the ground above the waterthank must be at least one meter thick otherwise the water in your waterthank will freeze. Greetings from the Netherlands Hans .👍👍👍👍🍀
Hey Hans, groeten van uit the VS! In the meeste Staten hier is the "frost line" zo'n 3 feet (+/_ 90 cm.
I'm surprised they didn't put the tank or lines deeper. Even insulation across the top and down the sides would help.
Looking forward to seeing the new water system.
@@bertveldhuizen8699
Dan is het daar wel best koud haha
It will be fine, even if the top layer of the cistern freezes like a lake the geothermal properties of the surrounding water will keep it thawed. Leaving the cistern accessible will allow them to reach their pumps, or manually fill or repair it if it sustains any damage.
Place some foam isolation over the grund, but under the top layer gravel where the waterlines and the tank is placed and there is no problem.
5-10cm should be sufficient.
But if the old water line with a very low flow didn't freeze, the new water line will definitely not freeze. It have a higer flow, placed behind the house where there is less wind and a big hill - the ground will freeze less there.
Happy Memorial Day weekend. Your
Son sure is growing fast. Storms in
The mountains tend to be more severe than others are. Looking forward to the next episode.
Y’all need to build a road grader attachment for the skid steer to blade your driveway..
I just stumbled upon this channel about a month ago. I started with the land purchase vlog and have since watched every video after that. You guys are very inspirational and do great quality work. I live in the Pacific Northwest on Vancouver Island so the topography is similar to north Idaho but we rarely get snow and don't see weather below freezing very often.
With a nod to "Look Who's Talking Too", I think what Oliver is thinking is; LUNCH! 😝
Matt's shirt is kinda fitting for the job your doing lol love diesel creek
Riley sporting the Diesel Creek shirt - excellent!
It's fun to see other creators checking out the merch from their fellow creators. I like the Diesel Creek shirt!
When I was a teenager, my father and our neighbor came over, and they had a conversation with each other. While they were doing that, there was a lightning storm happening to the south of us. Did you ever see a spiderweb style of lightning? That was the most incredible lightning storm I ever saw in the nearly 56 years after I came out of my mother. That lightning nearly branched the entire southern horizon. Yes, it was absolutely incredible to see.
And I love the sunshade MacGyver!
I enjoy watching this great couple 👏
Good to see you supporting Diesel Creek
You are a very cute couple, I hope your happiness last forever! And she is so natural on machinery, you are so lucky man :)
In the army we call that “voluntold” lol glad y’all are stilll moving forward.
15:35 Riley strolls in wearing some of Matt's merch from Diesel Creek. Is this some kind of hint that a possible crossover show in the works to have two great channels do a couple of episodes together? Hint, hint... 😉😁
Another way to find water. Use a golf club. Works every time for me.
In the army, we can that "Voluntold". That's when you're ordered to volunteer for a duty!
Hard to beat that sound of your 7.3 pulling into the yard! Keep up the good work. 👍
My friend in central Texas harvests rainwater for his shop's steel roof into a 1500 gal. tank. Its filtered and treated before use.
i am from another country and we use black containers because they don't let light through and as you know light in water causes diseases
but you could also put blocks of cement around the container so you can check every moment if a hose or a rakor loses water, now a stone can injure the container at any moment, I wish you all the best
Hey I like that you were wearing a Diesel Creek shirt, I watch him also.
Great work ! WaIting for part 2. Very cool way to get water…I've heard about the technology, but never seen anyone use it.
Production numbers are typically low unless you live in a high humidity climate.
I'm so excited for you! I can't wait to see how well the water generator works. You guys are quickly becoming off grid gurus. Everything is so well researched, that combined with your innovative spirit really makes for an amazing experience. Bummer about the ouch to the building. Our Sunday mornings wouldn't be complete with out you guys. Have a great week! Happy memorial day weekend.
Fix your water problem by getting a bigger tank and catching the rainwater from the house from the storm. Plus you'll need the water when you get a bush fire to save your property.
Riley sounded like I did when I was kid, "it just wouldn't stop", LOL, without this stuff what would memories be. Courtney looks beautiful with Oliver. Truly enjoy you guys. Your video are "appt TV" for me on Sundays.
Good luck with your new water system. :-) Jim Bell (Australia)
You guys are so awesome AWESOME 👏
I bet that if you had the money and people you could build a wonderful City.
Thank you for showing Oliver. He’s a cutie ☺️.
Congratulations on all your accomplishments.
Blessing’s from Paso Robles, California
, Carlos ✝️🙏❤️😊❗️
That old hitachi sounds like it needs a few boom and bucket pins.
In New Zealand we call the screening fines. Crusher Dust. Good job as always. 👍👍
Loved the lightning storm!
As you guys have some serious snow and cold, and lots of it, I am very surprised that you did not add some serious lagging to prevent it all freezing up. If I were doing this type of project I would have placed 4” polystyrene, ( at least 4”) all around the tank. We would do this in UK, albeit we don’t suffer from the winter weather you guys have. Good luck. Tony
You guys are great! When life gives you lemons...you guys make lemonade...you always handle adversity in a positive way...love it!
Have you ever thought of installing a lightning rod? Metal building and all...
Be safe👍
Alright now, you guys are having too much fun... Get to work!! Two excavators, I mean REALLY!!! Hehehehehe😂🤣😂
Great job capturing and incorporating the lighting footage!
Whenever you dig trenches it is a good idea to place warning tape in the trench before you fill it back in.
Awesome job y'all! I have faith in y'all to getter done!
This was a fantastic episode, thanks for putting so much into it, can't wait for Part 2!
⏰💪🔧 Wow, so much accomplished in just under 24 minutes! It's frustrating when unexpected issues like the building mistake arise, but you're handling it with determination. The progress is impressive, and I can't wait to see the Atmospheric Generator in action. The anticipation is building! Keep up the great work, and let's see this upgraded off-grid water system in action! 💦🌿👍
Good to see you guys back!
Oh, nice Diesel Creek t-shirt 😁
I really want an update, this sounds AWESOME!
Just saw the Diesel Creek shirt and almost fell out of my chair! My two favorite channels, Ambition Strikes and Diesel Creek!
Glad you bought a larger excavator. I was wondering if you would that other one was to small.
I'm still waiting to see what happens to the Courier. Heh.
We had a lightning strike about 10 yards from our house. It smoked a bunch of electronics despite some high rated surge protectors. The tree survived, which is amazing. We even had an arborist out to check the tree health and it's fine.
All that rock, just amazing.
It's so cool seeing how you've turned that woody hilltop into a home.
Maybe they should erect some lightning rods near the solar array? If that array took a bit, that could get expensive.
I thought I was delusional when I noticed the size of the excavator, so thank you for clarifying that the machine had been upgraded :) Cheers from OZ
With Idaho having a bit arid climate, I hope yuor dreams don't get shattered about how much water you will make. It has to be in the atmosphere before it can be condensed and then tanked. Best of luck
Don’t worry! Just cut a piece of that siding and gorilla glue it over the hole and move on. Seal the edges and paint it. Or add a window or a door in that spot. Happy Memorial Day!
In Scouting, we call being volunteered by others as being "voluntold." 🤣
Next time at the big box store pick up a roll of yellow caution tape. Its plastic 3" wide and works wonders for marking where your underground lines are. just add it to the top of the ditch about a foot off your line and shazam...you know you're close next time you dig.
Cool video you two.
We are waiting for final inspection on our 22kw backup gen.
Now i want a new Air water system.
Now how can you turn that hole in your wall into a feature?
We’ve got a plan! 😉
My 1st time watching and I love your x\channel. Great enthusiasm a d so positive. I look forward to many more. Crazy John in Katy, Tx...
Can’t wait to see the water generator. You’re off the grid living is really cool. How’s the baby doing? You guys look great. Have an awesome day.❤
“The machine just kept going…..nooooo that was operator error!! LoL
