I'm not naively optimistic enough to ever hope that there would be no cheaters, but much less cheaters is certainly attainable. Despite them not activating the new anti-cheat system with the release of the new season, I've noticed way less cheaters in my games both in ranked and quickmatch. Went from facing a cheater every 10-15 games to now only facing 4 across 160 games total while being in high Emerald, with 3 of cheaters being in quickmatch games. Hope this trend gets better with the new anti-cheat in use
In theory it should be an easy work around, but seeing cheating forums panic over this and withdraw their cheat services makes me feel like it MUST be working
If updates won't have any repeatability, so cheatmakers just can't sync their soft with the game - it should work. But still, there should be some loopholes, if ubi manages to at least cut off low-grade cheats it would clear like 75% of them or maybe more.
@VarsityGaming you can check the person players queued with history on R6 Tracker, by doing so you can see the cheaters real name as well but to make sure it's them you would have to check their MMR/RP history and Match History and verify if the dates and the data matches
From a coding standpoint, the cheat software will need to be repackaged every time the version changes. I feel like the cheat makers will find a way around that unless the game's version # remains hidden. If it doesn't, a script could exist in a repackager that finds the version, updates the script, and packages it. Also, won't R6 Tracker suffer because of this?
R6S cheatng is such a Catch 22 dilemma for me, on the one hand, I frickin' hate all the cheaters in a game i've enjoyed since beta and would love to see them all banished offline... but on the other hand if they do sort it out there'll be no more Hacker Replay series. It's a tough one.
A scuff controller is not cheating. As far as everything else, there is only so much they can do. People don't understand that. Xim is not illegal, nor is cronus or strike packs. Sony and Microsoft have to deal with it. Every other shooter either has mnk support, aim assist, or both for this reason. Siege seems worse because there is no aim assist
You know the funniest part about this is that when people complain and immediately assume they’re not cheating or are cheating are dumb. The whole point of this is to watch the gameplay not complain about if they are or are not cheating.

Start game with no internet and anti cheat. Then turn on wifi and the anti cheat will connect after and you can play with the cheats you want. I stumbled upon this info by chance so I’m not 1000% sure it works atm

I think they should've started us a rank below instead of putting everyone at copper V. The higher you rank, the more matches you'll have to play to get that rank now. I'm sure that's fine for a lot of people, but I really only play competitive to get a rank, not to play competitive.

went into a ranked game with a cheater and he was bragging about it for some reason and saying the cheat was unbannable by ubi and naming and promoting the cheat. ubi really needs to implement their new anti cheat, or if they already have, then they need to improve it

I noticed that too as a ps5 player. It's hard to use mnk with ps5 so it would mainly be the ps4 players cheating. Now with crossplay being in the game its also xbox cheaters to deal with. Might turn off crossplay.

if this was implemented on the 14th, it definitely does not work, a few days ago, I encountered the most cheaters Ive ever faced in a single day, and yes it was blatant cheats, no spread shotgun, blatant walls, ect. this doesn't give me hope at all lmao
as a developer changing your games “version” won’t do anything. They have loaders with auto updates that instantly grab the necessary information and implements it and launches the dll(cheat). They use this in other games like CSGO which has massive community of developers.
Cheap cheats come with lock on and shit like that. The expensive cheats have more ESP options and sliders to make lock on/"aim assist" to make it look more real and legit. Match 1 was some free to $20 cheat. The people who are paying mad money on cheats are; 1. Really good boosters who make sure they clients dont get rolled back. 2. People who just wanna be the best but suck ass at the game (closet cheating).
That's also because the update for the Anti-Cheat was only on PC, unfortunately a constantly updating anti-cheat like this would negatively effect all players on Console mean unregistering some peoples controllers all because Xims emulators and the anti-cheat would not be able to tell the difference between a regular controller and an emulator like Xim Apex or Cronus Zens
XiM is a console manufacturer problem. Ubisoft can definitely aid in fixes, but it ultimately is on Microsoft and Sony to fix it. The only easy solution I can think of is making only first party controllers work, but then a big portion of the console community couldn't play on their third party controllers

16:35 dudes cheating. Way too many coincidences on lineups given I've watched about 30 of my matches and those lineups and tracking thru walls aren't super common where I'm getting multiple per matches
If you are on PC and haven't done it yet, go into the game files and make sure that you can only connect to the nearest server location. There's tons of videos showing how to do it and it's super easy. Only takes like 2 minutes. Siege's ping depend server selection this past 2 seasons has been very very hit or miss for me. Keeps putting me (Central US) in Asia or EU servers when it was basing it on ping alone for some reason. Could be the issue. Or it could just be Ubi servers crapping themselves. Never know with this game

i never expect anti-cheats to fully block out cheats for good. It's like an onion that regrows its layers after being peeled.
They can do it like Valorant, but then that comes at the cost of privacy (and in some cases like me, breaking your PC)
