I promise to God that everything you guys send will be saved and going towards the first house we choose to build. We have been saving everything CZcams has given us but it’s still not enough. We don’t want to rent anything because it’s not worth it over the years.

There is a really fun "live" version of this song. It was the song's premiere and it was a celebration for the marriage of Sweden's young King Carl XVI Gustaf and his bride Silvia, the night before their wedding. ABBA was in costumes of the Swedish court (like the late 1700s or early 1800s) and they sang the song for the new Queen Silvia. This was in 1976. King Carl and Queen Silvia are still together, and their daughter Victoria is the Crown Princess who will become Queen. The "Dancing Queen" was Queen Silvia of Sweden.

ABBA was unavoidable in the '70's. If you turned on the radio, you heard an ABBA song. They've taken a lot of flak for their Pop sound, but you just don't have that many hits and not have some good music sensibilities. Just like Blondie's "Heart of Glass," this song is from the disco era, and you can hear the influence in the music. This song brings back a lot of childhood memories, and you guys did a great job of reviewing it. Good Luck on the house!

    Fun facts:😊
    1) ABBA: stood for the first letter of each of the four people in the groups first names.
    2) At the time they consisted of two married couples (blonde girl was married to the brunette guy, brunette girl was married to the blonde guy).
    3) They didn't know English when they initially started singing these songs, but eventually learned.
    4) There are two movies out that showcase just their music called "Mama Mia". You may want to check them out. 🙂
    5) ABBA was one of the big groups back in the seventies and their songs are still popular today.

In the late seventies - ABBA was considered uncool - seen by your family members, not the cool kids. Fast forward into the future and every band in the world and critics agree they were icons, genius, with hits galore. True talents. "Jive" "Turkey" means lame nonsense -

My Mom bought me an ABBA album when I was 18 because she heard about their world wide success. I was into Punk then and never listened to it. Many years later I started listening to them and realized their brilliance They made me remember what those songs made me feel when ABBA songs dominated the airwaves.

Wasn't a big fan of 'Dancing queen' but I love Abba... wasn't their best song, but it was a mega-hit in 1976... It turned Abba from a popular group in 1975 to global pop superstars in 1976. Sadly, the pressure of stardom and their meteoric career ended both marriages in the group. Abba released their last album in 1981 and their last single in 1983. Their songs were the basis of "Mama Mia!" the musical movie (and Broadway show)

"Jive" goes way back many many decades. Started with the "Hep Cats" of the early jazz era when they used to tear up the dance floor.
Generally means talking the latest slang that is constantly evolving in pop culture
