Watercolor painting en plein air, or outdoors, can be a delightful experience. Here are some tips specifically tailored for using the Portable Painter Classic palette:
    1. **Pack Lightly**: Since you're painting outdoors, you'll want to travel light. The Portable Painter Classic palette is designed to be compact and portable, making it ideal for plein air painting. Bring only the essentials to avoid weighing yourself down.
    2. **Plan Ahead**: Scout your location in advance to find the perfect spot. Consider factors like lighting, scenery, and accessibility. Once you're there, set up your palette and supplies within easy reach.
    3. **Prepare Your Palette**: Before heading out, fill your Portable Painter Classic palette with the colors you'll need. Choose a limited palette of primary colors plus a few neutrals to keep your painting cohesive. Make sure your palette is clean and organized for efficient painting on the go.
    4. **Stay Organized**: The Portable Painter Classic palette has built-in wells for mixing colors, which can help you stay organized while painting outdoors. Keep your colors separate and clean to avoid muddy mixes. Consider labeling the wells if needed to keep track of your colors.
    5. **Use Lightweight Paper**: Opt for lightweight watercolor paper when painting en plein air to minimize bulk and make it easier to transport your paintings. Look for pads or blocks specifically designed for outdoor painting, as they often have a smaller format and are more portable.
    6. **Capture the Moment**: En plein air painting is all about capturing the essence of the scene in front of you. Focus on capturing the light, colors, and atmosphere of your surroundings. Be spontaneous and embrace imperfections - they add charm and character to your work.
    7. **Work Quickly**: Outdoor conditions can change rapidly, so work quickly and decisively. Use loose, expressive brushstrokes to capture the energy of the scene. Don't get too caught up in details - focus on capturing the overall impression instead.
    8. **Embrace Challenges**: Painting outdoors comes with its own set of challenges, such as changing light, weather conditions, and distractions. Embrace these challenges as opportunities to grow as an artist and experiment with different techniques.
    9. **Protect Your Palette**: When painting outdoors, it's important to protect your palette from dust, debris, and the elements. Consider using a palette cover or carrying case to keep your paints clean and secure while on the move.
    10. **Have Fun**: Most importantly, have fun! Painting en plein air is a wonderful way to connect with nature and unleash your creativity. Enjoy the experience and let your passion for painting shine through in your work.
