I love this video!?!? You showed us not only your apartment but other areas of the building in 5 minutes, love it
Ahhh thank you so much 🤍 I’m planning on doing some apartment tours of my friends places in different neighborhoods of LA since this one is doing so well! Thanks for watching :)
This is actually really helpful since I'm thinking of moving to la in the future :)
Everyone starts with the foyer and here you are. Starting from your bathroom.
Nice job 😃
Thanks for the tour! I'll be moving into 8th and Grand next week !!
Jenson Lee Aw how cool! My lease is actually up end of May so I’ll be moving soon. You’ll love it here :)
Wow! Seems everything is in there. I would love to live in there. Awesome place. I love the rooftop pool especially on summer time.
The pool is definitely one of my fav things. Thanks so much for watching and showing love! xx
editing on point! i can't believe what i was missing out on before i stumbled onto your channel! ur videos are soo high quality! u desrve more than 1k subs!
I have over 817 sq ft 2bed/1bath apt. and pay $805, with a 5th floor view. Your view is better than what I got, again, 5th floor view of a grocery parking lot, yipee. The park beyond that is refreshing though (just wish the 2 would switch places). Thanks for the tour.
Your apartment is so nice!! Wish I lived in LA 😩😍
LAURA HAJDAR thanks girl! Honestly love it so much, I’ve lived here for over 2 years now and would definitely recommend ❤️
Really nice apartment! I think its totally worth it. Maybe Im just used to NYC prices in which this would be like 5k a month lol
Thank you so much! Totally agree, NYC is definitely the next place I’d like to live but definitely have to save up some major $$$ lol
Just an observation, I feel like the price is mostly due to the building amenities , location and washer and dryer. The space is fairly small for the price and the kitchen being together. Thanks for sharing !! It’s really great to understand what’s out there
Great observation, I agree! Definitely worth it for someone who’s going to take advantage of the amenities. No prob, I have a new apt tour up but it’s $1,600 and more sqf in the apartment but less amenities if you’re curious on the difference 🙌🏼
Omg I need this video cause I moving to la at 18
So exciting! I’m also making a “everything you need to know before moving to LA” video this week so stay tuned ❤️
WHAT! THIS IS NICE ASF!!!
@@Loreyna32 yes! I’m actually planning on posting on before the end of the year 😊
Just curious.... What is the parking situation for yourself and visitors? The building and apartment great. Do they sell condos in that building? The coffee maker in the lobby is a must. 😁
How did you make your intro/outro? they’re the best ones I’ve seen
Thank you omg that means so much! Intros and thumbnails are probably my favorite thing to create on here. I make a lot of the graphics on an app called "over" and then animate them and edit in Final Cut Pro X. I'll probably do a tutorial in the future. xx
What do you do for a living if you don't mind me asking?
hi I loved this video it was very helpful and i love your apartment its perfect! I'm moving to la soon and I would love to live here. I was wondering if this apartment is worth the $2,400? and also is DTL a good place to live?
Downtown L.A. can be quite noisy at night.. and as far as walkability its not the best area becuase of the large homeless population in Downtown. In my opinion The Valley(Sherman Oaks), Burbank, and Glendale are more quiet with less urban overcrowding.
Wait I’ve been here
Hey would you possibly mind sharing which apartments you live at? I’m moving to LA soon and I am looking for a nice apartment. Thanks 😊
Felicia Mwangi Hi! This apartment complex is 8th & Grand! I’m familiar with a lot of the complexes here in DTLA, if you have any Q’s just lmk :)
Where do you wok or what type of work do you do. I also live in LA and am looking for work lol
Malshanay Bradshaw I’m the digital marketing manager for a jewelry company here in DTLA :)
Hi I’m planning on moving to L.A soon and I really love this place. May I know the buildings name or website and if you could recommend similar buildings (downtown or not) with similar price range? I’m a Kuwaiti high school senior and will be studying in LA very soon. Thank you and keep up the great content 👌.
Hi there, congrats on your upcoming move! This place is called 8th & Grand, if you go to my channel I have also have an updated apartment hunting video that shares a few other places names, prices, and more info. Hope that helps 🤗
@@HaivynDaisy Ok, as a mother please don't give out personal info like that here. Never know who' watching and noting and thinking not good thoughts. Be safe!
Is this a 1/1 or studio
wow. the price isn't too bad considering the building/amenities
Lukas totally! Now due to COVID conditions the prices are even lower, definitely worth it 👍🏼
@@HaivynDaisy nice! What's the name of the building complex? I just moved to OC but now I'm curious lol
Did you like living here? I’m considering to live in 8th & grand. Any thoughts?
@@nicko1657 thank you so much! I’d recommend for anyone who works from home or stays home a lot (basically if you’re going to take advantage of all the amenities!)
The intro is everything wow i LOVE the edit!!🤩🤩🤩
Im a mini youtuber :)
Nvm, Apartment is pretty though. Very aesthetic.
May I know which apartment is this? We are also looking for a place like this.
Hi! Thanks for watching, yes I actually just moved out so I don’t mind sharing. This complex is 8th & Grand DTLA :)
Haivyn Daisy Thanks for sharing that info ! Looking to move to DTLA from Riverside in January. Do you know of other lofts in the city that you can recommend ?
What do you do for a living? $2400 a month where I live gets you a brand new home that's 4000 sq feet.
Hey i was searching some apartments and your is really nice do you know the Locations( nkt gonna ask the name bc it's gonna leak where you live so)
Hi there! Thanks for watching my video, My lease is actually ending soon and I’ll be moving out so I don’t mind sharing the name. This complex is 8th & Grand located in DTLA :)
@@HaivynDaisy thank you very much i am going to recommend your channel to my friends
2.400 is a very good price for this apartment ..I want to move in l.a with my friend and we want to share Bill's. 1200 per person is very good ..can you tell me if the price includes electricity bill and water bill?
alex k yeah I totally agree! For all of the amenities and location it’s a pretty good deal. My rent there was $2,300 and after electricity, water, and WiFi bills it was just a little over $2,400!
alex k alex k alex k Technically yes! It differs depending on the apartment complex guidelines but my apartment you can have 3 people on the lease for a 1bd1ba. I’ll probably be doing some videos with tips for moving to LA, so be sure to stay tuned! Wishing you the best as well ❤️
What do you do for a living to afford a place like this? Thank you
Lollipopqueen I work as the digital marketing manager for a fine jewelry brand here in LA, and I also freelance social media for a few brands in my free time. Thanks for taking the time to watch! ❤️
Haivyn Daisy I’m still in college and I want to do something like digital marketing can you make a video about getting into that field and your journey for that? Maybe go into more depth about your job?
sydnie kai of course! Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll be putting out new videos soon. & feel free to reach out anytime if you have any specific Q’s :)
is this room tour or advertising for everything in your place?
Just as the title says, it’s an apartment tour which means showing the amenities around the complex and the inside of my unit. Thanks for watching!
Do you like living in dtla ??
I love it! Everything being within walking distance is the most convenient thing
Which area
I’ve moved since this video so don’t mind sharing the complex, it’s called 8th & Grand!
I like Dtla as the rest of LA but i dont see the point to move to an area that is more similar to NY lifestyle but without reaching the glamour and the great vibes of Manhattan. I would rather live in a more typical LA Lifestyle neighborhood like Silver Lake or Echo Park for example or if i want the real vibes I would just move to New York City.
DTLA is going through a renaissance that started several years ago. And no one would confuse it with NY at all just because it's an apt in a downtown area. The vibe is very different. Much more relaxed DTLA vibe than NY which is very LA. However, it's continually changing too which is exciting. Ten years from now it will have yet another vibe I'm sure. So much construction going on in DTLA too both in terms of commercial and residential but also in terms of public transit like the new underground regional connector and the proposed Streetcar along Broadway.
@@theexmann oh yes I know what is going on in DTLA and I think it’s amazing and I’m not comparing it with NY at all. I’m just saying that when I think about LA I think about a different lifestyle and a different space. But I do love the idea that finally the city has its own city centre like every other city in the world.
@@robertosaraceno Yes, it's exciting. I've lived in LA my whole life and this is the first time, in my lifetime, I see the real making of a true Downtown again. Let's not forget that LA did have a real downtown during the first decades of the 20th century when there was a huge population and construction boom. It's the area we now refer to as the historic core of DTLA. Then, with the demise of the red and yellow cars and the new freeways, people started moving to the suburbs. It's taken more than half a century for that to turn around and have people moving back to actually live in DTLA.
I worked at the Wilshire One building just West of the 101 freeway in the 80s and DTLA was very different. It was very much alive during work hours, but since very few people actually lived in DTLA, it was dead after work hours except for a few eateries and bars. The Wilshire One building is now a residential tower if I remember correctly. You walk or drive around DTLA now at any time of day or night and there are people around. It still feels strange to see on any given week night people walking their dogs in DTLA. I never saw that in the 80s. It's both funny and exciting to see that now.
Is that a full size bed ?
You actually helped me pick my apartment! I almost did the Neilson 6 but switched to the Neilson 2 after watching your video! Lol so thanks
@@yosuar1986 omg no way!! I’m honored lol welcome to the neighborhood btw 🤗
Bad luck to put shoes at the same direction of your bed headrest. Put it below where your feet is
Omg really I’ve never heard of that! Luckily I have them in a different room now haha but thank you for the heads up 🙌🏼
Hi hi just found your channel and I'm obsessed! Lets support each other!
Rent is too high for 1bed apartment
Agreed! I’m paying significantly less now for the same size. This previous apartment had a lot of luxe amenities, fitness classes, etc. so the price was a bit steep
After watching what happened in Miami, this looks much less appealing, especially because of the several magnitude 5.5+ earthquakes that hit California a few times a decade.
Agreed! I’ve lived in CA my whole life but you never really get used to the quakes.
my question wtf do ya’ll do for work to afford this shit. I mean im aware that most Jobs pay a little higher in cali than other states to make up for the High God damn Living costs. Let’s say you make 17-20 an hour. You’d be making between 2,720-3,250, Even if you did make 3k That 1k would still go into other costs like internet and phone bills and car bills, and insurance, Leaving you with at most barely 300 maybe 200 if your lucky, average 100? Sounds like a tricky predicament, Definitely liveable But tricky and very strategical as to how you would go about spending your excess money, If you were smart you’d put little pits into a savings account and that would build as time progresses, And the rest of the money thats left would account for food, clothing, and Small Un-essentials. AND then! That doesn’t account for School! If you’re a young college student you’re either paying for your school or Under student loans and even then u still pay a small sum depending on the school! Sheesh!
2400, not bad.
Yeah I mean LA is pretty pricey overall but this complex has amazing amenities 👍🏼
