- Hey Friday Fam! Today we are trying something completely new! Who ever thought I would react to a religious song.......cause I didn't!! I must say I was actually into it, the music and the lyrics got me! I quite enjoyed it and I'm totally ok with it! What was your favorite line and damnit WHAT is the 99??!! Someone please tell me! Cory Asbury is so talented and changed my view. of religious music! What should I react to next?

I think god loves it more to carry us than us acting perfect (i mean more than 99 times more). I dont think we should welcome sin tho. If we welcome sin god cant carry us sinse we refuse his help.
His talking about the parable of the lost sheep, where the shepherd leaves the 99 sheep that are safe, to go out and find the one sheep that is lost. It’s talking about God not wanting anyone to feel lost and alone because of the love that he has for us.

I cry in his presence
Everytime I think of the first time I went to Crowders Camp in North Carolina when we were worshiping, I cry. I cannot remember the song, but I can distinctly remember what was happening to me. As I was worshipping and belting the song I felt overtaken by the presence of God and I couldn't help but sob and just bask in the glory of God. I literally fell to my knees in the presence in the middle of the aisle where the sanctuary was. God is the most high. ❤
As a Christian I enjoyed this. You were much more respectful than I would have been years ago. I was such a mocker and resistant. His love for me overcame me though, I'm washed clean by Christ's blood and I'm thankful.

I was an atheist and got saved and it blew my mind. I can tell you God himself convinced me over and over and over again that he loved me. Every word of this song holds more true than reality itself. I can tell you without a single shred of doubt whatsoever in my mind, that God is sooo so very real, and that he loves you. You don't gotta figure it out. Just search him out reach for him genuinely, and he will reach back. And his love story to humanity is written on the pages of the life of Christ.
I was into occult stuff and satanic things. I actively hated God. Even though I hated Him He loved me. He saved me and gave his life for me even though I hated him. Imagine giving your life for someone who hates you. I am so grateful Christ never turned His back on me and saved me from death and destruction. I'm so glad he loved me even when I hated Him and myself. Thank you Jesus for saving me even though I don't deserve it.
Same here. Born Again since November. Never ever thought I would listen to Christian music and now 😅 it’s all I listen to and I am loving it.

“What is the ninety nine?” God is our shepherd and we are His flock. That line is basically saying He will leave the flock (the ninety nine sheep) to find the lost one (you or me) to bring back with Him. Because He loves us.

I am a veteran and was a ER nurse for 10 years and many times i questioned if there was a higher power. I have experienced and see things that defy all odds, perhaps we are here by design. look at the night sky? when you look in the mirror and see the beauty? look at the human body and how works? every creation has an origin. great reaction video!

Megan, I appreciate your openness and honesty in this reaction.. and willingness to venture in a perhaps less comfortable direction. The 99 is about this:
“Suppose one of you had a hundred sheep and lost one. Wouldn’t you leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go after the lost one until you found it? When found, you can be sure you would put it across your shoulders, rejoicing, and when you got home call in your friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Celebrate with me! I’ve found my lost sheep!’ Count on it-there’s more joy in heaven over one sinner’s rescued life than over ninety-nine good people in no need of rescue. [This parable is found in Luke Chapter 15 if you want to read about it].
Megan, you understand fully in your head what the song and lyrics are about except it isn't about religion, it is about a relationship. What if God was that shepherd and what if you were that lost sheep? What if he would, despite you running away from him (and being a foe), and not wanting to stay with him, leave aside the other 99 sheep to devote himself to finding you, yes you Megan, and bringing you back to his fold? He does this because he so desires that relationship to be restored, a relationship with you. He made you and knows you and wants you to let him back into your heart (not just your head). Please listen to the song again and let it be personal, about you.
All the folks at the concert that you alluded to are happy because they know (and are celebrating) that God pursued them and restored that relationship with them. Everybody needs rescuing. It is a personal thing. It's not about rules or limitations but really true freedom. Is the rule that you must drive on the right side of the road an onerous restriction or does it actually allow traveling to become freer and safe? It's the second really.

I would like to add that surprise feeling you were getting, that energy inside you that starts to come alive like a tingle that is very gentle, that's God . He was reaching down putting His Hand on your shoulder saying, "Hey daughter, I've always been here beside you."
Hey everyone! I just wanted to share some good news with you all. Let's just put it this way, the Ten Commandments are called the Moral Law. Ask yourself this. How many lies have you told? Have you ever stolen anything? Have you ever used God's name in vein? Have you ever hated someone or ever looked with lust? This is for you to judge yourself, but chances are that you are a lying, thieving, blasphemous, fornicating, adulterer at heart and you HAVE to face God on judgement day. Now ask yourself this. If God judges you on judgement day by these Commandments, will you be innocent or guilty? Of course you'll be guilty because we've all done these things. The truth is that none of us are good people and we NESD God's grace to make it to heaven. We judt simply cannot do it on our own. These Commandments arecalled the Moral Law. You and I broke the law, Jesus payed the fine. So now what we must do to be saved is to repent of our sins and trust alone in Jesus Christ! To repent doesn't mean to just say I'm sorry, but to turn from our sins and let Him truly be our Lord continually. He said that many will say to Him, Lord, Lord I have done all of these things for you. And He will say I never knew you. Depart from Me, ye who work iniquity! And those will be cast into outer darkness and raging hellfire and loneliness for all of eternity!!! Because we broke His law, He is very, very just to send us to hell. If someone had murdered 4 people and said to the judge, I've done nice things too and have tried to treat people nice but it was just one time, the judge would then say, okay but you're going to jail. And the judge is very just to do that. One last thing, if you were 10,000 feet in the air and you had to jump, you wouldn't jump out and flap your arms and try to save yourself. That's ridiculous! You would put on the parachute. It is the same with Jesus. You must trust Him as you trust the parachute. We are not good and we cannot save ourselves with our own goodness. We must trust alone in Him to save us. In just a moment of time you can pass from death to life. Jesus said, "Verily, verily I say unto you, you must be born again." That is how we enter heaven. Through the blood and grace of Jesus Christ!!!!✝️If you ask someone how to enter Heaven, they will most likely say, "Be a good person." Well the Bible says that none is good, no not one. We like to compare ourselves to guys like Hitler and say, "Hey, I'm a pretty good guy compared to him." But when we compare ourselves to God's standard, we realize that the Bible speaks truth when it says that we all sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God!!! When we see this ( our sin in its TRUE light), we see how much trouble we are in and we say, "Well then there's nothing I can do. I'm going to hell for sure then." It's true that there is nothing that WE can do, but there is something that has already been done for you! God sent His One and Only Son to die on a cross as a sacrifice for our sins! So to recieve that eternal sweet sweet forgiveness, all we must do is repent of our sins (meaning to continually turn from them and confess them) and trust alone in Christ as you trust a parachute. If I was to push you out of an airplane, you'd want the parachute for sure! Don't try to flap your arms and save yourself, trust in the parachute! His finished work on the Cross IS ENOUGH!! He is the only way to Heaven, He said it Himself!! These other religions teach that we must he good and do good things and then maybe if we've been good enough, we will enter Heaven. But if that is true then we are all doomed to eternal hell because none of us are good. That's why this makes sense. Look at the Ten Commandments, they are written on your heart right now!!! I promise that you have violated them. And you might still be doing that today. Therefore God is just to poor out His wrath on us because we deserve it!!! But Christ died for us so that we can spend eternity in Heaven with Him!!! Turn to Him today, and He and only He will save your soul "Verily, verily I say unto you, you must be born again ( to go to Heaven)."✝️The true joy of Christ dwells in me! Does it in you? I know where I'm going when I die! Do you? I have an ETERNAL victory! Do you? I have more joy than ever because of what Christ has done. I have been down both roads. The road of the wicked and the road of Christ. Christ is way better and my cup runneth over with true of and salvation. If you do not know the One true God and are not sure of your salvation, I promise He will never fail you. Turn to Him in repentance and faith. Repent means to confess and forsake your sins, never turning back to them. I tried changing on my own but I couldn't. It took the power of Christ on the inside of me to do it for me. He will give you a new and clean heart with new and clean desires and you shall be born again. A new creation in Christ Jesus!! Hallelujah!!!! Jesus said in order to enter the Kingdom of God, you must be born again!!! Thank you Lord Jesus!!!!!✝️

There's a beautiful personal story behind this song for many. Those of us who have been disenfranchised by even our families, misunderstood, lost in the craziness, knowing there's an unconditional love is overwhelming.
Those chills you feel Megan, are the Holy Spirit moving in your life. You are God's masterpiece, created flawlessly in every way imaginable.
I love how your attitude COMPLETELY changes. For someone who grew up in church I've rarely seen non believers feel God in this music the same way we do. This is simply the seed that's planted for God coming after you despite you rejecting him he NEVER gives up on us. This is love in it's purest form.

The 99 came from a parable where a sheperd was watching over his sheep's and one sheep got away, he left the 99 sheep's to find that one sheep. When he found the sheep he threw a party. He's saying that we are the sheep that got lost and God is the sheperd that came to find us and bring us back home. 🙏

What you're feeling IS God! He gave his only Son to save us...the one...before we knew and loved him. What an amazing father!
The reason you can fit this song to a friend or loved one is because being a Christian is about being in a personal relationship with God! It is not a religion, it is a relationship with the creator of the universe and He loves to speak with you and spend time with you on a personal level. Nothing else like it.
When god leaves the 99 he is coming back for you in spite of saving 99 others because god could never turn and leave you behind. God loves each of us that much. God never turns away no matter what you've done; He'll never leave you behind.

The 99 is a reference to the whole group of people who are already found, but God pursues the 1 person who is on the outside, lost, and hurting to help guide them back home

Well I was pig back then but in my sickness Jesus show up literally spoke to me and healed me after treat 3 times of treatment failure.

The "religious" Christian/Gospel music genre has definitely evolved over time. Any type of music genre you can think of (pop, hip hop, rap, country, reggae, heavy metal, etc) has a Christian artist making music in that style. And doing it well. There's some amazing Christian rap artists and really talented pop and R&B Christian style artists as well. But there's also a genre that is specific to Christian artists and that is worship music. You can definitely find a lot of songs to react to if you'd like to explore this area. And it's a lot more positive messages in the lyrics than a lot of secular genres/artists are putting out today.

I love all kinds of music myself, but I heard this one song in the same genre as Cory Asbury and it just blew my mind! 🤯 Before I mention the song, I do recommend re-listening to Cory’s LIVE version of Reckless Love with him in a hoodie and backwards baseball cap…SOOO GOOD and he also tells the parable of the 99. Anyways, I digress, another good reaction song is called “Voice of God” - Dante Bowe Feat. Steffany Gretzinger and Chandler Moore”. The music video has an crazy-amazing collaboration of INCREDIBLE voices, powerful lyrics and instruments that flow all together in perfect harmony. 🤯😍

God loves "you" so much, that he would leave the 99 others as in sheep, to go find the one sheep that's lost. He never gives up looking for you and loving you.
He leaves the 99 means he leaves the masses to come and find you. You are always worthy to Him.
When he says "Leaves the 99" he's talking about like, say he has a whole army of Christans with Him, if He saw you in need, hurting, in pain, Anything He would "leave" the 99 just to save you, although don't take this the wroung way He would still ALWAYS be there for the others "the 99" but basically it's saying, no matter what is going on or how many people He needs to be there for, He's never too busy and will always be there for *you* there is a video on CZcams of him singing this song live and He explains it really well, if you want to react to that or just watch it.
