You were obviously doing exactly what I was doing back in the day...many days locked away in my bedroom, learning as many Accept riffs as I possibly could, haha! Awesome stuff man!
I love Wolf Hoffman and Accept. Know most of their songs and love playong them both live and in my apt. Doesn;t matter. Great tone you have going on and fits those songs to a T.
Just reliving this vid.. man that Marshall tone is awesome through a V..Duncan pups I assume.. sound awesome.. I think wolf is very underrated for the massive riffs he plays.. the new albums rock as well.. love blood of the nations.. the new one is great too.. loved "Midnight Mover".. great tune ..thanks man!!
@@DSTaylor69 thanks wolf hoffman uses a lot of harmonic minor licks in his chords and riffs in accept but not sure where they are at but he uses the harmonic minor scale often in his chords, riff and licks in accept and his solo albums
+Shawn Taylor What are you doing with one of my guitars??? Hahaha, I have a very similar one with the same pickups :-) Thanks for the vid. Good playing and nice sound!
Bigstep uk thank you so much. I ask wolf once how he got that sound. I always thought it was the amp he and Akira used. When he said on the early albums he used an4 input Marshall a mar distortion and a mar chorus. He laughed as I got silent. Said it’s in the hands. You have to pinch. He said in those days you had to to sound heavy.
metalshredder69 Gain 10:00, Treble 1:00, Mids 2:00, Bass 12:00 Big part of Wolf's sound is his picking style he and Akira Takasaki of Loudness have very similar picking styles. They really dig into the strings.
Balls to the wall yeah I liked when warrant did the version of it in Italy JANI lane sounded good on it and Don dokken used there bass player for his band with John norum Peter baltes
Well, the fact that Shawn's expression is TOTALLY deadpan AND he's doing this EFFORTLESSLY would suggest that he has pretty refined skills. This is my first viewing of him, but he's not even having to work at this. His vibrato is WAY above average too. That's a sign of a great ear. It would be hard to tell that it wasn't Wolf playing if you couldn't see him.
Balls To The Wall has the be one of the best opening riffs of all time! Great job man. 👍
Damn that tone is absolutely crushing. Heavy as f**k!!!
Thanks!!!!
Totally proper my man. Wolf has contributed a lot to the metal scene, while being largely overlooked in America. Nice to see someone paying homage.
Awesome playing 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Niclas Boman thankmyou. Than you very much
You were obviously doing exactly what I was doing back in the day...many days locked away in my bedroom, learning as many Accept riffs as I possibly could, haha! Awesome stuff man!
SUPERB execution and tone!!! That's how they sounded in the '80's.Very nice job.
Great, Accept was also my favs. Thanks for the awesome sound and riffs.
regards Bio

The golden year's of metal, Old school nothing today comes close, good job man 👍

Perfection. You really nailed the riffs and the tone.
excellent ! i just saw the Dirkschnieder show a couple weeks ago.
head banging like a champ, great job
OMG!!! Tone and riffs are perfect! Wolf is so underrated, as perhaps is Shawn ;)
Thanks for that piece of metal.
Nice job! Sounds great!
I kept thinking they were tuning up for balls to the wall, cause of the studio guitar tracks. I am glad someone has played this correctly.
Great tone!
Excellent

SHAWN TAYLOR, can you make a video showing a lot of wolf hoffman neoclassic licks and harmonic minor licks he does in accept and his solo album works?
bill williams I’ll try
@@DSTaylor69 thanks wolf hoffman uses a lot of harmonic minor licks in his chords and riffs in accept but not sure where they are at but he uses the harmonic minor scale often in his chords, riff and licks in accept and his solo albums

Awesome playing - r u playing thru the ADA MP1? if so can u let me know the settings please as it sounds brutal!!

SHAWN TAYLOR,

Great tone ! I see a Triaxis, a G Force, an ADA, but where is the poweramp ?

+Shawn Taylor What are you doing with one of my guitars??? Hahaha, I have a very similar one with the same pickups :-) Thanks for the vid. Good playing and nice sound!
Nice V
what gear do you have in this mini - rack? nice playing
antropomorfizacja furman power supply. Shure wireless. Ada mp-1. Mesa boogie triaxis. Tc electronic g-force. Rack drawer.
thanks for info. And we can hear here mesa or ada ?
antropomorfizacja neither all Marshall. Ada is for midi switching only. Triaxis wasn’t used.
antropomorfizacja only thing used was the tc
Michael Schenker guitar...😎
I Salute! \m/
I still know you because you love Accept :D
You need to Pinch Harmonic the Power Chords to get that Hoffman Tone, same as Takasaki and you nailed it. Excellent!
Bigstep uk and thank you for the complements
Thanks for the info great story! The compliments were a pleasure, thank you again!
Shawn, what is that after "Fast As a Shark"?
Tone is crushing btw.
nailbomb3 Fírst thing after fast as a shark is a classical riff Wolf plays that during his solo. After that I'm just noodling around.
Yeah it's Grieg. I think anyway? Cool!
Can you play back on the streets John norum version thanks
He is using a Marshall JVM410H
What speakers did you run through? Sounds like V30?
Bram Engelen 1 cab is all celestion G12t-75’s and the other has vintage 30’s and G12T-75’s in a x pattern.
@@DSTaylor69 Thanks bud! Sounds friggin' amazing, I bet live that tone would cut through like a knife as well 👌
Bram Engelen yeah it sounds good when you crank it.
What's that first riff it has some balls to it
Balls to the wall I believe ;)
Whats the song after Metal Heart at 11:30 ? I recognize it. Everyone else I know.
Midnight Mover
Lol! That's because it's the opening riff to balls to the wall. So yes it def has some balls to it.
What are the tone settings to get Wolfs sound?
metalshredder69 Gain 10:00, Treble 1:00, Mids 2:00, Bass 12:00 Big part of Wolf's sound is his picking style he and Akira Takasaki of Loudness have very similar picking styles. They really dig into the strings.
Shawn Taylor Thanks Shawn. Sounds great.
AHHHHHHHHH, Akira Takasaki is my other absolute favorite metal guitarist. He and Wolf are my preferred players from the '80's
+Shawn Taylor yeah, pinch harmonics on the power chords!
genio
I got the best bass cover of this up.
Balls to the wall yeah I liked when warrant did the version of it in Italy JANI lane sounded good on it and Don dokken used there bass player for his band with John norum Peter baltes
Can't go wrong with Accept. How about some UDO too?
ESP guitar?
You are the KiNg
what the song at 7:15 ? You are Rock \m/
Middle part of London Leatherboys (at 2:20 in the original)

What song is at 5:36? thx
Flash rocking man
What are the settings? What amp?
Art Sal Marshall JVM410H. Don't know the settings I let my ears determine the settings not where the knob is. Hope that helps.
Well after turning the knobs dont be afraid to look at them jc
what preamp
Andy McLain Marshall JVM410H
very good riffs but the difficult is the creating of this not the copy
andres luna Nothing wrong with showing respect to the people you respect. Now is there???
