Ok Lamont, you got me with that "1st trans robber"!!! Tooo doggone funny!! First robber to transition from horseback robbing to automobile robbing!! 🤣🤣🤣 That's a great one!! 🤣😂😂💯
Oh dang! I know this story. I'm from Bentonville. They used to reenact that bank robbery during a festival. The bullet holes from the robbery are still in the side of the building across the street (to the left of the picture you put up). The bank building is also still there, but I don't know what business might be in the building now.
Don't worry about the babbling cause the more you babble, the more facts I learn about these cases Great story from a time in the wild wild west. Thank you again Lamont.
Wow what bunch of twists and turns. He kept getting reprieves and kept getting into more mischief. Great job on the reporting of this guy's life Lamont!
Your not babbling. I love your stories at the cemeteries. Especially the ones of Oklahoma. Born and raised here and I've learned a lot of history from you. Please continue to do the stories. I guess I'm strange but I love to go to cemeteries and look around at the headstones. Everyone's life matters. Dead or alive. Thanks Lamont. God bless you and stay safe🤗🙏❤️
Lamont they just opened the Eufaula dam road back up. Across the dam heading towards Porum they’ve moved in a log cabin. Behind the cabin is the trail to walk to Belle Starrs grave
One last bit, money was worth more back then. $60K in 1921 would be worth $1,008,204.00 today, so in relative value he made quite a bit if he really did get $60K in stolen valuables.
Hey Lamont! Always love your videos! This one was pretty funny! It had a great hook that kept me going. But then again it doesn't matter whether they are long or short they are always! That is why I freaking subscribe! Keep up the good work Lamont we are always watching!
Bear in mind, 200 bucks in 1900 is valued at 7500 in today's dollars value...A dollar back in 1900 is worth 35 times more than today....That is what the math tables state
This is good Lamont infact I like the part about the armadillo that was a good one I couldn't help myself but it was funny keep it up I liked your sense of humor 🥰🥰🥰🥰
I just found out today that my cousin John Franklin Chaney ran around with Henry Starr gang, that's what brought me to this video. Great history, thanks for sharing. The dead armadillo on the grave is witchcraft 🪄

Babble ob, Lamont. I'll listen to you anytime. You are a wealth of info amd you elect to share your knowledge with us your devoted followers. Take care and be safe
Fort Gibson is very, very close to the Arkansas River. Back then, it was pretty narrow and could have been considered a stream. It has now been dredged and they have the "Port of Muskogee."
I'm from Stroud and there is a video about what happened that day when he robbed stroud on CZcams if anyone is interested on hearing that as well! Great job on telling the story of Henry Starr....loved watching your video and hearing the story! 😊

Being from Fort Smith AR, Belle was seen here many times in that time period. A man told the news paper here many years ago that his grandma stated that she shot Belle in the back one day as she was coming down the road. She despised her very much and this man said it was his grandma that did it. I can't remember the man's name but, that is what he said. I think she was hiding in the trees as she passed and then shot her just to be rid of her. The man in that photo you have seated with Belle was called "Blue Duck" he was Cherokee. Men liked getting with Belle because they knew if they got into legal troubles they could get good defense attorney in Judge Parker's court. Henry was probably doomed to get a"bad" reputation just by being related to Belle. "Blue Duck" got drunk and came across a poor farmer doing some plowing one evening and took out his pistols and filled him with bullets for no reason. That is why you see handcuffs on him in that photo. Hopes this helps.
“Don’t ask me why I’m wearing my hat like the Fresh Prince of Bel Air” 😂

I love all this time in Oklahoma. Wish you’d go to Ponca City and check out E.W. Marland. Oil magnate married his niece.
