Crazy Karen Fights Neighbors Over Backyard Comedy Show...And Then I Did My Set!

- I was about to go onstage at this backyard comedy show in Atlanta, and all of a sudden this woman barges through the house, runs onstage, and has a meltdown. After she tries to steal the mic, things get physical, and she Will Smith'd the shit out of one of the other comics. Then I went up and did my set - she was a tough act to follow.
She got that mad over some jokes, and then Kyle got on stage and started screaming, "I'm a communist!" 😂

That woman had no right to act that way. If that is at someone’s house........ As long as they aren’t violating any “noise curfews,” no one is damaging or trespassing on her property, being horribly unruly and they aren’t running it like an actual business (with “operating hours”) she has NOTHING! That could EASILY just be classified as a house party.
That was in front of an apartment building, I think. Personally, I feel like it's wrong to force a whole people to have to listen to a loud comedy performance they never agreed to, especially when some people could be having a horrible day, be sick, trying to sleep, trying to put their baby/kids to sleep, have animals that have anxiety issues caused by loud noises and/or crowds, etc.
Plus, it sounded like the woman in the video was so upset because someone close to her had just died of a heart attack, so if that was the case then I think she had every right to be upset about being stuck listening to a comedy show in her own home when she is just trying to mourn the loss of someone close to her.
I just think it's insensitive and disrespectful to have a loud show directly in front of an apartment building or someone's home, especially at night. Not that this is the comedian's fault or anything, but whoever organized this on behalf of the apartment probably shouldn't have set up the stage so close to the building/home.
And if it isn't an apartment and is someone's home, the who tf thinks it's okay to have a comedy show at night right in front of another person's home???? Like obviously she's upset at that... idk how anyone could try and act like that is okay. It's disrespectful and honestly ridiculous.

Jesus, if you feel the noise is excessive for a neighborhood, then just CALL THE COPS, lady. It is their job to deal with things like that. Walking into the event and throwing a tantrum was just a pointless, ineffective gesture.

Did everyone just miss the part where she mentioned having to watch someone die of a heart attack? Was she so upset because she had just watched someone close to her die via heart attack and was trying to mourn, but instead was stuck listening to a loud comedy show in her own home with no way to make it stop?? Cause damn, that would be brutal. I don't agree with her methods of dealing with the issue, but I can't blame her for acting the way she did. I can't imagine how horrible it would be to be in her position and be stuck listening to a comedian sing silly parody songs while tons of people laugh and have fun while I'm experiencing the worst pain I've ever felt in my life.
I felt for her too, she definitely didn't handle it right but something was clearly wrong.
I remember one time, I was in Manhattan for new years eve, but my friend died back home, so I just stayed in my hotel room. I couldn't help but hear the celebration from my room, so I went downstairs and yelled at the people in the street to go home because I was hurting.
I interpreted to mean that if the show continued, she would get so angry she would have a heart attack and all of the people would have to watch that. A strange threat.

But why the fuck would you think a live comedy show in the backyard of a residential area with a mic setup wouldn’t upset people? Wtf? Go to an open mic at a club or fucking try to rent out a venue.
If she didn't want to call the police and wait for the situation to be addressed appropriately... then she could have left her home. Driven, ubered, walked, called someone to pick her up etc to get away from what she found distressing.
But she didn't do either of those things. She chose to trespass, offend, assault and upset a bunch of other people who she felt were upsetting her.
She didn't like them being loud disturbing her home... so she broke into their home and screamed at them. Make that make sense.
I think the expectation that someone should have to leave their home in order to have peace and quiet is kind of absurd. Fun is not meant to be had at the expense of others.

What I heard was her partner (I m assuming husband) recently had a heart attack and that the noise from the speakers was too loud. It used to be we would say angry, aggressive, assertive and/or people we think are jerks/we disagree with are bitches. But that isn't PC so the go to now is the term karen. Covid and masks showed that because the woman in a mask and woman not in a mask were both called Karens. There is no manager here it's her at her neighbor's house. She could just call the police (still be called a karen) but she went to her neighbor first and got laughed at. I guess it would be hard to turn the speakers down but she has a point about a house isn't a night club and you don't know people's personal stories ...IE if they have kid's in bed or family with health problems. I m sure that time of night had noise ordinance. I will say she was wrong to go over as she should have just called the police but that doesn't make her a bitch ...or the modern term people use IE Karen.
If it were me, I'd probably move to another room, use earplugs and noise canceling headphones. yeah, I'd be annoyed, but it's not their fault if they are following the law.
