At 2:45, that is my dad at top left. He is Dave Nance who was president of Smyrna Dixie Little League. The other two standing is Jack Hurst (middle) and Sam Anderson. Bottom row from left is Bob Taylor, Mr. Williams and Sterling Duvall. A lot of great times spent at Jonquil Park back in the late 60’s and early 70’s. Not to mention every day during summer break from school spending it at Jonquil pool. I’m Clark Nance and graduated from Campbell High School in 1979.

Pat, as I listen to your words about our town...tears flow as the memories come rushing back. You were and remain like a brother to me. God Bless You!

Born and raised here , love this town. A lot has changed since 1946 but we've made some great advances and a lot is owed to our wonderful Mayor,,,Thanks Max.

Thanks for the walk down "Memory Lane" Pat. Great job! Pictures cannot compare to the actual memories...but they sure can get the ball rolling. I'm thinking a lot while listening and watching, of my childhood on Walker Street (the wrong side of the tracks, ha!) The "big rock", Whitfield Park, Spring Street Baptist Church, making soapbox derbies. the "ice plant," Dobbins Feed and Seed, the old fire station, Pace's Grocery, "six-points" and on and on....

This is so great! Brings back so many memories! Remember My sisters and I, Leesa and Lauren Fowler lived down the street from you and I always loved ringing that bell in your front yard!! I had the BEST childhood growing up in Smyrna. And of course getting the hear Pat Terry play at our church or other functions!

Sweet song, Pat. I have lots of childhood memories in Smyrna and most significantly it's where Stan & I were married.

I try so hard to embrace positive memories of Smyrna.. But all I have is Pain!! I am so happy you have some great memories and met your Love there! For me it was the most painful times of my life. Argyle Elementary, Spring Road, Rejection, But I thank God now for all that led me to Salvation in Christ.. God bless you!!

Listen here, pat- if that even is your real name. I noticed something incredibly unforgivable abd frankly... unpatriotic.. sinful even. You didnt show Kens Corner Grill... even once.
