    Got the 8 track version of Bitwig from CM yesterday after seeing a lot of my favourite CZcamsrs migrate to it over the last year.......Been using Cubase Artist for a few years now......very tempted !

    2:22 Yes you can do that in Logic, with the modulator.
    Bitwig is overall more flexible though.

    The No.1 Standout feature for me (as a Logic user) is how you can just simply type in the Name of a particular Instrument or Effect plugin… and BOOM its narrowed it right down in the browser window as you were typing it in…. no hunting through long-listed Contextual Menus to try to track them down which can slow you down too!
    I also love Bitwig’s really flexible Modulation System, however at first I couldn’t quite get my head around how to assign modulations, but I know how to do it now, The GUI is really intuitive as well… AND I really like how you can have several 3rd-Party VST-plugin windows open all at once which can be very useful for copying a preset’s settings (just like you can in Logic Pro)!

      You are talking as if other daws don't have a search feature

      @@Trickey2413 My intention was to simply point out that For Me, that particular feature was what stood out and how it differed from the Search in other DAWS, I wasn’t implying that others where inferior, merely pointing out the speed & ease (not so much perhaps) of being able to find what you might be looking for.

    Bitwig is such a double faced daw. On one side its one of the best daws ive trialed, but at the same time it cant get some of the basic stuff down like automation

    Get Cubase, it's Logic, just better (but with less stock sounds)

    • @tpbeldie
      @tpbeldie Před rokem +6

      Why? Bitwig obliterates it when it comes to electronic music, it would be a downgrade at this point.

    • @patrick5301
      @patrick5301 Před rokem

      @@tpbeldie nope. It doesn't have the Media Bay, Control Room, audio editing functionality, built in Dolby Atmos support etc.

      Used to be on Cubase, before migrating to Studio One. For the past year I’ve been on Bitwig and have never looked back. Neither holds a candle to Bitwig for up-front productional features (modulators, noteFX, The Grid - a built in modular synth environment, et).
      I do miss Cubase’s macros - but now I just use my Logitech gaming keyboards to satisfy the same end. So no big loss.

      @@patrick5301 you're literally saying bitwig is not good for electronic music because you can't use dolby atmos? LOL

      @@mandable Ctrl + F and then search the term "electronic". Results might be shocking.
