Sideways drift meets straight-line speed runs with the Stinger from FTX. With hard drift boots included alongside sticky soft treaded rubber tyres, you can literally decide on the fly how and where you want to run your Stinger.
With a wide aero inspired wide moulded main chassis featuring no screw head, this smooth finish, coupled with a rear diffuser provides stability at speed. Shaft driven with sealed, geared front and rear differentials feature metal gears throughout for maximum durability. The modular radio tray neatly houses a 15kg Etronix metal geared steering servo and Hobbywing brushless 60A esc and 3300KV motor, powered by a Voltz 2S 2500mAH Lipo battery.
Oil filled shock absorbers, anti-roll bars and adjustable double wishbone suspension lets you tweak to suit your settings and tyre choice; either treaded rubber tyres for street racing, featuring 25mm wide front and 30mm wide rear for better stability at high speed or hard plastic boots on 6-spoke wheels for sideways drift driving.
The Stinger is topped off with a moody muscle car body that features moulded front grill and light buckets front and rear housing a multifunction LED light set.

FTX make some good hobby grade cars Im more of a nitro fan myself, my first was a FTX Zorro which looks more like an 1/8th scale truck than a 1/10 scale and it only cost £185.00 easy to start using an engine warmer and lots of fun with a £12 ebay larger fuel tank upgrade.
You can't go wrong for the price tbh!

Sorry man, Tomley got 53mph stock on 3s with a bit to spare. The Stinger is a bit of a handfull at those speeds stock, difficult to keep straight even with the giro & dry road. Exellent value though for around £239.

In my defence, the ground was very wet, but this ain't the end. As the weather is picking up, we would like to see this gain a bit more from the stock setup before we really play with it.
It's given us a nice base line figure to beat!

You're right. You get the hnr panther, as the ftx would work out to be costly due to taxes, etc.

It's filmed alongside a motorway. Hence the traffic noise.
I’ve had 52mph a number of times now on 3s. Waiting for warmer weather maybe get a couple more mph
What battery were you running? 🤔
This was on a 30c 3s it was damp. Maybe I should have used a better battery.
Unless it was just down to the traction side of things.
There's only one way to tell for sure 🤔

I have both of these RC’s the MJX is easier to handle the Panther has lots of potential to be a wicked runner but the panther does have many issues but nothing to major
we have never had any issues with the stinger until we stared chasing the bigger numbers. its all part of the fun I guess.

@@thercstore. I’ve had to trim all the fenders, trim chassis so when the tires balloon they don’t hit chassis. The screw the the drive shaft worked it’s way out so I had to get creative to get 4wd. There’s a lot of play in the steering so that’s my next thing to try and figure out. I came across some hard rubber tires that I like now there’s grippy enough for speed runs,they don’t balloon mainly they don’t let the car traction roll and I can drift when I want to. I’m sure foams may do the same and I got some. But I just love my Panther and will get a 2nd one eventually. As for the Hyper Go for the Price and performance especially on 3s it’s just Awesome I recommend them to anyone new to RC cause there super tough

Hi guys how you doing? Quick question cant get my lights to work had cleaned receiver and lights circuit board some corrosion using isopropyl alcohol could be corrosion in wires dont have muti meter to check components should i just buy another light control box thanks
The first port of call would be checking with a meter. But if it's had water damage, then I would personally replace it. You don't know the full extent of the damage caused without a real inspection.
I don't believe they are very expensive to purchase. Replacement parts are normally reasonable for these.

Hi guys received new light control box for ftx stinger lights still not working coud u tell me how wires are connected to box in case i have done something wrong incorrect polarity also pressed small button on side may have wrong setting on box tried after lights not working thanks in advance
Have you tried to contact your supplier?
The cars come with a warranty. If the defected part has been replaced id call the store you purchased it from and they will get it working for you.
At this point they can also check if the issue is warranty related.
