A detailed comparison of the last two generations of the Trek Madone. Follow me on Strava and Instagram for more content: / strava / ronykuba www.ebay.com/u...
Ronald••• the slr has been tested privately and independently as well as public and it is slower than the 9 across all tests... also both new disc and rim brake madone’s are slower than the 9.
Ronald, have you had a chance to look at the 2023 Trek Madone? You you consider over the Factor VAM ostro? Do you know if Factor plan on upgrading the VAM Ostro?
Rookie question. Can I install a Di2 groupset on a madone 9.2 that came equipped with the mechanical groupset? I keep looking around but i don't see a clear answer. Thanks
haha,....fake frames T1100....even better than the original ones.... just funny. Rony pls order me one with a fake GUCCI cycling shoes and a LV or DIOR jersey. Thanks.
There is 0 evidence from a second or third party that the new Madone is more comfortable and faster then the old they did a couple things to pretend bike is deferent. 97% of the bike is similar sorry. this is just trek claims witch every brand say the same thing of there products
I disagree. I've owned both. The SLR is far more comfortable. The SLR has far more compliance thanks to the adjustable seatpost flex. The fit is different. Ronald chose to go with rim brakes, but the disc brakes on the SLR are better. That makes it far more aero.
T1100 bikes cost 2k now at the most. Nothing justifies this price. Alibaba is the future of non sponsored cyclist that race. I can have 3 or4 complete bikes per season for the price of one madone no problem.
@@ronykuba You need to cover these frames. I am here in Switzerland and you cant believe whats coming from China unless you know about it. This summer i put a T800 java suprema together, and its just as good as any madone ever produced and looks better. Search T1100 carbon bikes and see for your self on Aliexpress or Alibaba. Its well known here.
I heard different answers to this question. Can you put the SLR bars /stem on a Madone 9 ?? Some say you can’t. Did you like your Enve setup on your old Madone and was that a simple swap over ?
@@mateuszgajdulewicz1410 Yes, you could put other bar/stem combo on the Madone 9 but that's not what he asked. He specifically asked about the new Madone's SLR bar/stem and Thats a no go.
Madone 9 SLR is a dream bike for me.
There's no such bike
I think it's the best looking Aero bike out there and on top of that you can customize the paint.

well, a bike is not just about aero is it? Plus, these road bike tests usually have pretty flawed protocols.

Yes I have. It’s a different kind of bike, hard to compare without testing
Good ! My rear brake is broken on my madone 9 ! Do you Know if i Can to put a black rear brake slr on my madone 9 ? Is it compatible ?
I really remember, but I think they’re different.
What colour jersey goes well with the blood red???
You'd have to ask the cycling fashion gurus
Thank you. Have you compared the Madone SLR compliance to Tarmac SL6?
I haven't ridden either bike
Ronald Kuba you have SLR in your video and you haven’t ridden it!
@@zakymaa obviously not. It's a bike for sale, that is 3 sizes larger than what I ride.
What size was the red bike? What size did you ride on madone? Thanks
56 I think
May i know the year of your madone 9 if you don’t mind please.
Thank you
2016
Good show Ron
Thanks!
Is it true that the madone 9 is claimed to be faster than the newer slr?
I don't think so
what size is the madone slr?
I don´t know, this was years ago.
cover photo vs title: almost...
Fixed :)
what are your thoughts on the ridley x-night with full integrated non aero cockpit for cx?
Trek look to my eyes looks the best of road bikes.

If you are asking this, you should probably leave it to a mechanic, but it certainly is possible
u should replace the thumbnail for the right one :D

😅 plus a Chinarello frame

the old one looks soo much nicer
I like both
Nope
Ronald Kuba would you swap your Venge for SLR though 🤔🤔
@@simoF6 there's a good reason I bought the Venge
@@ronykuba yeah i bet. Next bike ill probably go a Venge or Tarmac
so many spacers, ugh
On a bike for sale, that's a good thing
@@ronykuba good point haha, not for going fast though!
Only 10,000$ lololo
Its a nice bike. Its problem is that for the same money you get the Venge which is simply superior.
@@8rk thats the thing. Aerodynamically speaking we dont know. But the Venge is ligher. So it is faster in a parameter by can control.
How is it superior
@@john-ry7oq lighter and as aero if not more.
How do you know if its more aero
The Venge is known for being very harsh, the Madone on the other hand with ISO-Speed is probably the most compliant Aero Road bike on the market.

as someone who owns the Madone 9 & tried to do this, the answer is definitely No

I have a fried who has madone 9 and bar/stem combo, so it is possible 😉

The Enve was fine, but you need the adapter
