When I denounced a D9 sorority in 2017, I would have never imagined the message being preached worldwide for all to hear & make a sound decision. The Lord is still setting me free from carnal mindsets and will be as long as there is breath in my body. It's a beautiful journey.

My pledge process in 2007 was flat out demonic then I turned around and did it to 4 other lines. I could go on and on about this but please repent brothers and sisters. @@truh_von_tay during my prayer time in February the Lord revealed to me that I was in a demonic covenant with AKA. He took me back to the ritual ceremony . Even though it was 11 years ago. I remember the rituals because I was in charge of it setting it up when I was in school. So I had a vivid memory of all the vows I made all the songs I sung all the oaths I took bowing at that altar because I was the one who set the altar up. Denounced AKA, this is very real. We must be loyal to God only. I never put the sorority first and considered that good enough. I was ignorant to the covenant I agreed to. But, you will be judged for every idle word you have spoken. We must repent to break that covenant! Nothing deserves ALL of your anything except God! Kneeling to anything besides God is absurd as a Christian. I thank pastor Flowers for the courage to preach this message. May others hear God’s voice on this topic and may their hearts be softened.
This message applies to everyone not just sorors and frat brothers. We all need to test and truly be like Christ. I pray we all will be Christ like and displeased by things that do not please Him.

I officially renounced Zeta one month short of 32 years. As a worship leader in my church for years, I finally feel like I'm truly worshipping and adoring the King of Kings through song.
I have a friend at church who is a worship leader that became a zeta in grad school. I want to be ready with the facts when and if the greek life Subject comes up but having a difficult time with finding the idolatry in zeta. It's not as blatant as delta for example. Would you mind sharing some info on the idolatry within zeta? Like I don't think they have a greek deity like the other d9 groups.

Yes, Zeta does indeed have a worshipped deity. It is the cat goddess of ancient Egypt, called both Bastet and Bast.

Wasn't sure if that was true after all. Was this something taught to you while you were a member? Also, did they have y'all take oaths and vows to zeta and its founders like the other groups? Also curious if they gave a ritual book and had new initiates kneel at an altar.
I was never given the name Bastet during my process. It was mentioned that a cat is unofficially associated with Zeta as a mascot. I do remember kneeling before the decorated table (altar) in a dark room with a candle in my hand and repeating verbiage that a designee was reading from the handbook. (ritual book). The oath is online available to the public. There are some things taken directly from the Bible in the oath.

The Lord convicted me to denounce/renounce the organization that I was apart of years ago. I praise God ! I knew I shouldn’t have done it while I was going through it, however I was not spiritually mature enough to walk away.

This sermon is really blessing my soul. God told Me and my husband to leave the current church we were at. It was so much corruption there but we stuck it out because my husband and the pastor was best friends for over 20 years. Then our pastor became a mason and starting recruiting church members. My husband and I questioned that decision. The pastor told my husband the being a mason do not denounce the word of God.
God has been giving me dreams on the reason he had us leave the church. This sermon is all I needed to hear to help me figure out what those dreams really meant . Thank you pastor Jerry.
I love the fact that he is speaking on this!!!!! I am from a COGIC background and I see Bishops, deacons, missionary etc all involved in this stuff and it is a real Soul tie! You pledge in a DARK room on your knees in front of a shrine making an oath that you verbally and physically say and commit to with your life to this stuff. They be die hard over some stuff that can't save them anyway! This "divine 9" is not of God Repent God is near!

Whew! This is so good and can be applied to every area of our lives. God is not pleased with the willful disobedience taking place in the earth. I’m thankful for the individuals who are receiving God’s truth - the ONLY truth and being set free by repentance and through Jesus Christ. Greek life never set well with my spirit so, I’m thankful I never chose to participate in it despite being asked multiple times in college and before discovering the darkness behind it. I had to denounce two organizations a few years ago and now that I am more spiritually mature, I see all the times the Lord tried to block it, but I was disobedient. I even encouraged my sister to join and now she won't turn away, and won't even talk to me about walking away from it. 😢 I am so thankful for this message and I pray that others will release the idols and worship the One True Living God. Our Father is setting the captives free‼️I repented and denounced my association with Zeta Phi Beta in Dec’23 which resulted from an encounter with The Holy Spirit. My pastor isn’t a member of a fraternity or sorority but he acknowledges their presence during worship services which I don’t agree with and am thinking about leaving because I’m trying to be all in. This is the first time I’m hearing this sermon and it’s 🔥 🔥 🔥.
I'm an active member of Sigma Gamma Rho and I'm listening to this sermon with open ears and an open heart. I believe God is using me to change and minister to my Sorors and I've been able to bring many to Jesus so I believe this will give me insight to why others denounced and left the organizations

I am your Soror. To be honest I was supposed to be financial last year. I met a Soror at a trampoline park and considered joining their chapter. When I tell you the conviction I felt and all the things that happened to me that made joining out of reach, it was my warning. I have been watching the videos over the past year of people renouncing and that stirring in my spirit and the questions I asked God began to be answered. This sermon was EXTREMELY humbling to listen to because I have to acknowledge that I was wrong and there’s no longer any excuse I can give to justify staying put even if inactive. Now I realize I have actually been in a period of mourning because my spirit already knew what I must do before my flesh accepted the truth.

The idols angered/angers God so much that the very 1st commandment is: “Thou shall have no other gods before me.” It’s just that important to Him.
The Lord took me through the scriptures just like this and I compared it to all of the Delta books I had. God convicted me so quickly and I renounced Summer 2023 and released my denouncement video on September 1, 2023. Since coming out, the marriage curse on my family has broken! One of my older cousins found and married her high school sweetheart that she had been searching for for decades! They got married in 4 months after reconnecting! This was All God!!!

@EricaGoings I watched your denouncement video last year. It was one of the best ones I'd seen! Your heart was so sincere when you found out how God felt about what you were in covenant with. Seeing how humble you were and your willingness to get right with God was moving.
I'm not in a sorority, but I sent your video to a Delta that's the daughter of the pastor of the church I previously attended in hopes that as someone who also loves the Lord, she would have the same reaction.
I'm still praying for both her and her mother to denounce Delta. But God and His spirit is moving. I love seeing more and more people coming out and talking about how sororities and fraternities operate in spiritual idolatry. Thank you for sharing your testimony. God is good! I renounced also after 41 years in the D9 org. My mother, sister and 2 Aunts were in the same org. There was a marriage curse on our family. Some of our husbands died prematurely and there were divorces and delayed marriages too. The Holy Spirit is speaking to us to get out now before it gets worse.

For every follower of Jesus Christ who has renounced & denounced a fraternity or sorority, the Lord gets the glory each time one of his children receives revelation on this and on every other stronghold that seeks to serve as an enemy of our soul and place us in a compromised state. It’s not a fight against anyone in the organization, rather it’s a fight against the principalities that govern these idolatrous systems (Ephesians 6:12). This is more spiritual than anyone can ever imagine. My prayer for the hearts of fellow believers is to be open to sitting down and reviewing the rituals that you took oaths to and pledged, line by line, cross referencing it with scripture, asking the Holy Spirit to highlight what needs to be seen, and to reveal what exactly is in direct opposition to Jesus Christ. He will reveal it. The same way he did with me in 2019, prompting me to come out of AKA. The same way he is doing with many others.

When I was saved in my early years, that was one of the things I renounced instantly when conviction came upon me for the rituals and foolishness we did. This was really powerful while listening I thought to myself I don’t struggle with Greek idolatry. I said God can you have Jerry Flowers touch on something I’m struggling with. In the last couple minutes of this sermon you hit right on the head with the gluttony. I’m currently struggling with this. God gave us a hunger but it becomes a sin and idolatry when I overindulge. I’ve also been stuck in a rut for a week or so I just haven’t had any motivation or drive to study, pray, read nothing….

I just want to encourage you pastor! Thank you for your obedience in this topic and for sharing parts of your testimony. Thank you, mostly, for anchoring this message in the scriptures and the heart of Christ. Sororities and fraternities are a generational curse in my family and I recently renounced my org, in my heart and publicly, and have been trying for months to speak to members of my family about this curse! This sermon was a blessing and encouragement to me that I am able to share with my family. I'm so grateful the Lord fed you the language and I want you to know that your obedience was a blessing to me. I'm trusting God will use this to reach my family and some other girls I mentor who have expressed a desire to leave as well.
