  • Tim Kell from T. Kell knives discusses why the changing times warrants you to have a SHTF setup at the ready. Whether you plan for it or not, if something happens like what’s in the news in another country then you will as an able bodied male 18-50 be called to fight. Should you have gear to be a better combatant?
    Yes, I said clips. I misspoke. Humans do this sometimes. I know the difference between clips and magazines.
    Yes, I mixed up the wylde barrels usage. I misspoke....again.

    I’m a Vietnam Veteran USMC, this is the country I fought for/with, please forgive me for taking you serious & rearming myself, Yes, I will defend my family, neighborhood, My State, and The Corps. I’m too Old to say No! Great equipment reminder, and thanks for the motivation to “get back in the game” death is only another milestone and like it or not, it’s better to die fighting than be forced to watch and beg to live. No tuna fish though, I can find you where ever you are. 😬Lol.

    We are fortunate to have this gear. Old people and little children living underground in an old filthy steel factory with bombs 24/7 and all they have is the clothes on their backs and a handful of stuff. I've been stressed just feeling sorry for them and we are here thousands of miles away. Half the human race is screwed up and getting worse by the day. I'm in Canada, totally prepped and geared up. Just ordered more food supplies and preserves.

    Nice gear. I personally prioritize the grey man theme and don't have any green tactical backpacks or flashy gear. I run most of the same gear you do but in a black everyday backpack. I have a camo waterproof rain cover for the backpack if I ever needed to hide it. But I want to look like a regular guy walking by and not someone with a load out. This is also why my primary is a AK pistol with a folding brace that fits in a regular size backpack. I don't want to be seen walking down the street with a full size rifle. To me, being invisible is your best chance at survival. Id sport your vest and backpack if I was back in Iraq, but my new mission is just to hide and survive. All and all tho, good gear!

    • @TkellKnives
      @TkellKnives  Před rokem

      Same here. I have a grey man load out and black is the choice. Different gear for different situs. Get home/grey man is different than direct enemy contact. All in black in the woods or laying in a field stands out more than than multicam woodland, all black and multicam woodland stands out more in the Syrian desert than desert digicam, woodland multicam stands out in the jungles, dressed in all black dude with a stuffed black pack in the mall looks like my primary target, tacticool dude in 5.11 Stryke pants with his pistol OWB and a Glock sticker on his truck at the gas station takes the first round from the perp. Etc etc etc. I have all of the above listed gear. When I’m at Costco with the family I’m in blue jeans with IWB sig, fixed blade CCW, Ifak in my ankle and no one is the wiser. If you’re trying to advance on my house I see you in all colors of gear because I have IR but that’s not in my grey man setup. I think the overarching them here is start thinking about the what if’s and what you’d do if the normal gets shattered. Great feedback, thank you for watching Brother.

We're speculating about a war on the home front and using what's happening in other countries as a thought provoking conversation about things that COULD happen. The rules changes in that instance. I know several guys with prior service, well past their inactive reserve status that have been called for mission critical skills that they possess that other active duty men don't have. They were activated, served for that conflict and then deactivated. It happens all the time. That however isn't the point. I for one having served wouldn't use that as an excuse to be able to leave.

      That's a tough one because each person has to come to it on their own. It only takes going thru something hard one time to realize how quickly things can go south. Maybe remind them that something as simple as the power being out for 3 days from a weather event can bring people to realize they need to prepare at least a little bit for that. The fact is that wars happen, tornadoes happen, and things get hard. You can't force someone to think about what life would be like without the things we take for granted. I don't want to suggest scare tactics but maybe point out what the people in Ukraine are going thru that they never thought they would. Keep strong and keep doing what you're doing and pray that they will come alongside you. Preparing for your family is the ultimate sign that you care more for others than yourself.

    Your AR is .223 Wylde, because you want to shoot 5.56 out of it, makes sense. The following statement, about being in battle with a firearm chambered in “5.56 ONLY” makes 0 sense. I really hope you meant to say .223 ONLY. Would like to believe you served and just missed the word “clip” instead of mag, and the fact that if you found a 5.56 rifle you certainly could fire .223... I mean, you could have just got a 5.56 AR and not have to worry about the pressure. - still respect to you and the vid. You know more than me but maybe check the editing before you turn in the final draft. That being said, you know a lot more than me and I’ve not served. There have been numerous comments about both of those. You are correct I mis-poke about the .223 vs 5.56. I also said magazines 3 seconds after I said clips, and fortunately most people knew exactly what I meant despite having said both. As far as editing goes, when I watched it before publishing I didn't think that so many people would have so much to say about simple slip ups in speaking and would be able to realize what I meant. I was wrong, lessons learned.

    I pretty much have the same set up myself and I think most patriots should do the same. You don't need high dollar gear to accomplish the same mission, but it is nice if you can afford it. Just look at the Swiss, they have their men do a manditory 2 year military commitment, then give them the rifle they trained with to take home in case they may be called upon to defend their country. I don't know if that is still the case, but it has kept their country out of the shit for a very long time. I tend to invest in the firearms (AR/AK, pistol, and shotgun), Ammo, Ammo, Ammo, Chow and the gear to carry all this stuff in, more than most anything else. I guess I would be considered a prepper, but by my mind set and the way I was raised, your an idiot if you don't prepare. I was raised along the Louisiana, Florida coast and was staitioned along the east coast while serving as a Marine. My wife use to make fun of me until we had 2 back to back hurricanes, then she was on board, because we smoothed it during the week long power outage, while others did not.LOL. Anyway, basic shit goes a long way and gives you peace of mind. Hopefully, you may never use it, but it is there if you need it.

Ukraine had over 600,000 army strong and yet, the president is asking its citizens to stay and fight. What does that tell you about its military capabilities? Over 600,000 should be more than plenty to fight an invader with only 200,000 troops.
