I watched The Truman Show and it made me so mad! One thing I want to talk about as well is the people who watched him. If no one watched or if more people were against the show he may have been free sooner. But the thing is sometimes your prison brings other people joy because it makes them feel good in THEIRS. I will be mindful of who benefits from me and WHY.

Girl you just DONT know how much I need this today. My 11 year old is battling anxiety and depression. Today we had a doc appt and it was hard as for the 3rd time this year she stated she has suicidal thoughts. I watched the movie before I listened and it helped my tears. I sat down and spoke to her about deception of the enemy and the power of God and his words! She’s young but I pray she understood and is going to keep fighting! Thank you God and Thank You Megan!

Yo! I rewatched Truman show after watching this episode and cried my eyes out. The last mini monologue by Christof , all I could do was imagine the enemy saying those words to me, “There's no more truth out there than there is in the world I created for you. The same lies. The same deceit. But in my world, you have nothing to fear.” Like the way the enemy tries to deceive us is so real. Thank you Megan Ashley for letting God speak through you 💜

And I highkey love how there was no confrontation with his mom or dad or best friend who lied straight up in his face with not even HIS words. He just left. I did the same thing with some ex friends and it reconfirmed in me that if someone is POISONOUS to you- LEAVE. no closure or anything needed.

I loved Megan’s advice because every time my best friend gives me advice she tells me “don’t take my word for it, pray about it and ask god”. Sometimes it would annoy me because I was searching for quick answers or validation but she was right errrrr time!
When he said "You never had a camera in my head" oh my goodness that is just powerful. the enemy will attack in such a clever way that we think our thoughts are true but once you realize that the negativity is external and your mind can be pure you win
Wow, the Lord let me to this episode today. I woke up feeling defeated and this analogy of the Truman show, demonstrating how the enemy deceieves us. This opened my eyes, literally started to shout in my home rebuking the enemy! Megan I am glad you have this podcast.
This was definitely timely. Yesterday I laid in bed depressed and forgot who I am in Christ. I woke up and was fighting through my morning to keep going and to see this podcast about deception has fired me up to remind myself who God made me. I just watched it - I was shook at the part where chrisof said Ive been watching you since you were born and Truman said "you dont have a camera in my head". I didnt know the devil didn't know my thoughts! I NEVER KNEW he only watches patterns and suggests thoughts - wow!
The Truman Show is one of my favorite movies ever. I talk about it literally on a weekly basis. I always say I feel like Truman, but I never thought about it this way. I’ve always felt like there was some truth that everyone knew about and had colluded to keep from me. Like I was being gaslit on a large scale. Deceived! Wow.

This is so powerful Meg! God is showing me how the devil assigned the spirit of rejection to me right in the womb! This unemployed cherubim went all out to make me see myself as rejected, fearful, useless and worthless..but GOD delivered me!
Deliverance was so important in my journey, the spirits are still being cast out. I feel like a new person with a brand new heart. I know I am loved and nothing can sperate me from His love!

I spent most of life believing the deception that I was incapable of achieving anything and I ran with that lie for many years, didn't even bother attempting anything because I believed that I was incapable. I am re-listening to this episode for the 3rd time now and I have been going "I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME", "I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME", "I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME" on repeat. Man these conversations are so needed. I am not waiting for 2024, I am going after the life God called me to starting now. God bless you Megan❤️

Omg. I did what you said. Paused the pod and went and watched the movie. 🤯 At the end when the show creator was trying to persuade him to stay is so likening to Satan. I was once trapped in that world as a former Jehovah’s Witness then turned “worldly”. But the thing about knowing Jesus as the truth, once you know him, you can NEVER go back to living a lie. Jesus will literally set you free 🙏🏾
Megan, you explained The Truman Show so well. This is an underrated movie. The enemy definitely shows up harder when we are getting down to the truth of what God sees. The breakdown of how the enemy moves is so important for us all right. I hope you have more movies that you can break down like this.
The fact that the Truman show is written and directed by “Peter and Andrew” let you know that God had his hands on that movie!

This episode was released 5 days before I accepted God into my life and I am watching it 5 days after she re-posted a clip from it. There's no coincidence in that. God speaks through Megan for sure. She's a sister in Christ that God gives me confirmation through often. This video being one I needed to hear at such a pivotal time. But what she said at the end is real too! Nothing wrong with watching her podcast, she's a great voice from the Lord, BUT we must also seek Him daily and get in our word too! Even when you don't want to, because that's probably the time you need to most because the enemy is trying to stop you from getting into it. Stay vigilante and the more you get into your word and the closer you get with God, the stronger your spirit gets. Then you start to realize, the enemy ain't nothing more that a pesk, buzzing in your ear. SWAT THAT SUCKA AWAY!
I don’t have words to explain how this revelation has helped me. I have been living in this deception for 3 years. Intrusive thoughts, suicidal thoughts, exhaustion, depression, self-loathing. Today is the day I reach the end of the set and walk into the unknown. I can do it because I have a God that loves me walking me through it. I serve an almighty, all-knowing, all-loving, God of peace and guidance that desires only to see me at my best 🙏🏾❤️the enemy can no longer win or reign over me. To anyone reading this, this is our new chapter! Walking into the unknown. I've never seen this movie, but word for word this describes how my year went. It felt like nothing was really real, until I woke up from this tv show. It's crazy how we can be deceived by these distractions that the enemy can place in front of us and make us feel distorted within the world that God has created. Man, I'm so grateful the enemy can't be everywhere all at once.
This was the best movie review that I've ever heard. Ive seen you on CZcams on the other show, but never really took it seriously. Just some clips or few minutes. Im proud of your growth. Im happy for your walk with God. May God continue to bless you and guide you. Be blessed
God has so many ways of revealing the truth and the plot of the enemy. Even through films. Another good movie is Nefarious. I would recommend watching that movie because Its just so important, especially for believers to see how the enemy works in this world, the deception and lies motive the enemy has to break down people from coming to alignment with Christ.

I had to come back here after watching The Truman Show for the first time today. I was able to watch it after listening to this episode. Thank you again for this interpretation. It has helped me be more aware of the subtle deception that the enemy places around us when he sees our efforts to draw nearer to the truth. The enemy truly is a coward and we should trust (with all our heart) the vision the Lord has given us so we can return back home to Him.

I just thank God for bringing me this video a day after my maintenance staff tried to interrupt a virtual interview I had aftger being unemployed for a year. The enemy wanted to cause fear but my God knows my intentions.
