Surprise Kunekune litter!

- I thought we were done with fall litters and the other two sows just didn't take this breeding season. To my surprise Penny our Kunekune sow had her piglets! The piglets came 21 days after her initial due date, which means she didn't take her first heat cycle. I was so excited to come out and realize that she was pregnant and piglets were on their way.

You may get this question a lot, but how much and what feed to you feed lactating mommas? I’m new with these kune kunes, and my sow just had her first litter, and is looking thin….? I’ve been giving her around 2 cups of ground feed everyday? Is that not enough? Your hogs look so healthy!!
We normally feed 2 cups twice a day and once they have their piglets we up feed to 6 cups twice a day and then Adjust feed based how how the moms are looking
@@KCFarms ok, so I’m not feeding enough then, I read so much about over feeding this breed, guess I was scared. What protein percentage is your feed? And what brand do you use?
Do you give iron after birth to the piglets?
We have used it a few times haven’t noticed much difference
Do you get bulk towels from somewhere?
