  • So this is a bit more of a very interesting time with a machine totally new to me. Contractor is Jason Robley from Armathwaite.
    Filmed in Cumbria, England.
NB Some people wish to know more details of location. I cannot do this because I always assure farmers of anonymity, and they are happy with this. Without it, some would turn me away, to your loss as well as mine!

Nice one Alan. Quite an interesting one, you don't get to see those often (over here at least).

Very nice video Alan, though the reco could do with another couple of foot of a chute extension , however that said , it seems a tidy outfit

Clever idea but needs a longer chute as so much being lost over the side of the trailer .

Yes, I think the older machines were made for smaller trailers?

If I owned that harvester I'd seriously look in to putting it on the front linkage. It would do my neck in to do any significant acreage with it otherwise. Interesting to see it in action though, nonetheless.

You haven't read the title carefully! The tractor is in REVERSE drive, so he is looking forward and his neck is in no danger!

@@balmesh Okay, fair dos. I didn't realise 'reverse drive' was a thing in anything other than a few specialist task machine,s. I'm old school when it comes to my tractors though, pre-1980 machines suit me just fine, I'm no fan of electronics, especially in vehicles, far too much to go wrong, and a right pain to diagnose and repair. I'd get used to it I suppose, if I had to, but I'm pretty sure I'd hate driving a tractor from the same seat and controls but able to look/drive in opposite directions equally. I guess I've just spent too long with and over the bonnet view and a crash box.

Me, too. Borrowed a MF once and just could not get it in reverse!
