This transportation was truly a unique travel experience that combined budget travel with a feeling of first class travel! The ryokan room felt almost like a capsule hotel experience with having my own traditional Japanese space. For me I enjoyed this traditional cruise experience over airplane travel as I was able to take in the views, eat delicious japanese food such as fried chicken, discover vending machines on the boat and embrace the Japanese culture. next time I'm in Japan I'm so doing this! Last time I was there I didn't get to go to Korea and I regret it. I hate flying so the flight to japan (takes 24 hours in air total form where I am) I didnt want to fly again so soon, but a boat sounds so fun!

I recommend if you get a cruise it be multiple days and make sure the food and stuff is free I went on one like that it was the best experience ever never forget it

Might want to correct the title, it's a ferry, rather than a cruise ship. Cruises usually return to their original port with the same passengers at the end of a voyage, with one or so stops along the way (though some cruises might go one-way).
Interesting video BUT... calling an overnight ferry a “cruise ship” is kinda like calling my Honda Pilot Uber a stretch limo my guy....

I have a request for you! Last year for spring break I went to MSC cruise (idk why but I liked it anyway) it was amazing! (It starts from Miami btw) it has a buffet, restaurants, zip line, wave pool, water slides, a DJ, shops, live performances, events (such as 70s night or dress up in white party) amazing bedroom and so much more! And idk if the price is “cheap” or not but the cruise costs $500 per person for a week! The best part is they take you to destinations such as Puerto Rico and as a goodbye present the last day they’ll take you to a private island! 100% recommend :)

I used to travel a lot(includes traveling the ENTIRE Japan when I was in kinder-garden) and I remember going to the spa before bed with my mom, cause it makes sleeping a 100 times easier, and yes sleeping with ryokan style is comfortable

That eating part with an audience brought out a painful recent memory from my Japan trip. I am very bad with chopsticks and on top of that very, very insecure person. So my friend forced me into a small (about 8 seats in total, just 1 counter facing the kitchen) ramen shop. I cannot use chopsticks almost at all and the whole time I ate, this young cook there, about 25-30 years old, just STARED at me nonstop. The whole time. From a couple of meters. Just sat there and stared. I've never felt so awkward.
