its blowing up and losing its culture that they've had for almost 200 years. The same families that came over in the 1800s are still around and all know each other. There are even some that speak Alsatian. Its fun for a day visit but its already losing its small town vibe. The phone signal is bad when I travel through there as well as internet. The police presence is fairly heavy, especially for speeding :( a lot of speed traps. Also, recently due to the border issue there are several times sometimes in a week highspeed chases that go through the area for illegal human trafficking and bail outs. My friend who lives there says they had them near her sons school and they had to go on lockdown more then once. I am not sure either why with the water shortage they are encouraging ppl to move west of San Antonio, already with the neighborhoods they have built during a drought I am curios how long that they are going to be able to maintain the water. Medina lake is empty and the wells around the area are already drying up. Another note, if you looking anywhere in san antonio area be sure you are not on a flood plain. We are in a drought right now but we every so many years have heavy rains with flash flooding and times where ppl have had to be rescued by boat or died. My friend and I noticed there are a multitude of neighborhoods from Converse to west of 1604 that are built in flood plains. I am not sure why that was allowed but when we go back around to rainy time I wonder whats going to happen to those neighborhoods :(

How is the rental market in this town? Just wondering if potential buyers would have trouble renting out a home if he/she decided to move
