Please keep posting your longer videos like this. I like to see the good and the bad. Too many people are quitting their jobs to be a reseller without understanding it will not pay your bills all the time or even allow you to sock money away for your retirement. They need a taste of reality. The entire process takes a long time ands I appreciate the time and effort you are taking to show us these boxes. ps. Every time you say "cold shoulders" it reminds me the adorable clip of your daughter and her cold shoulder shirt!
haha oh my little delaney - that is definitely a core memory! these boxes are easy enough to do the whole process. the bulk boxes are trickier bc I dont do less than 200 but maybe can do 50 at a time the next time I order one. it wont be til I get through this crazy money pile. thanks for watching!!

I ordered a box 30 pcs mixed size active wear during 30% sale. They were all size XS, mainly old Navy, couple pieces Gap fit. the whole box made its way to donation center.
Ugh I am sorry!! Definitely have solidified my theory that sales are NOT the time to make a rescue purchase.

The reason they accepted my return on my 200 lbs was because its supposed to be mixed sizes and it wax all xs. So not as described.

I love ThredUp's Rescue Boxes, like you always say there are some great boxes and some terrible ones, and I think I've finally learned my lesson NOT to by during their sale promotions. It seems like that's when I get the worst boxes. My last one was a 25 pc mixed box. All XS,0-2 or XXS and garbage brands with tons of wear. Not buying thru their sale again. Yeah these kinds of kids boxes are what made me not want to sell kids stuff- I don't have kids so it's not like I can keep some of the items, I don't have any use for them. But I'm probably going to start picking up some kids stuff at the bins for BST like Ginger Marvin do.

Do you have a textile recycle place in your area? I’m in Illinois and we have drop boxes from USAgain that you can bring worn out, damaged stuff to.
not that I know of - I ended up throwing away maybe 15 pieces and the rest was donated on our local area freebie group
Oh man. My most recent 200lb ThredUp boxes were 75% forever 21, and the other 25% were old Gap, old navy, and lulularoe 😅 honestly not a single thing I was excited about. But ya win some, ya lose some. 😂. And the lint, same here in my boxes!
The lint...never had a box like this before! GROSS!! And wow I have had 1/4 of my 200 pound orders be awful but never ever the majority of the order. That stinks!!
I ordered this box during the same sale, and it was pretty similar. At the discounted cost, I was still able to break even...mainly from Once Upon A Child. It was bummer, but I just got an AWESOME Women's 50 LB from PA. Like you were saying, win some lose some. Some of the good boxes seem almost too good; it makes you wonder what happened to the poor seller.

My last two kid's boxes were not great (both from AZ), and one of them was really terrible and it all just felt gross! I should have tried contacting them about it, it was so bad.
I definitely have learned to pick my battles with them but this was definitely worth the fight. Definitely speak up next time!

This is how my recent 200lbs was. Seems like when they run those sales people are getting nasty and unsellable items. And we know I love a THREDUP box, but they really need to actually donate/recycle like they say they will!
Also I did the same thing with customer service! I took a screenshot of the website and said “per your website”🤣 like you can’t send garbage and expect people to go along!
That March sale Thredup had was no good! I got 200lb and it had so much Forever21 and Lularoe. And a kids box very similar to yours. And all of my boxes had lint/dust balls in them. All the stuff reminded me of searching on their website filtering by the lowest price. That's what was in the boxes.
ugh!! I am truly convinced they wait til the sales to send the TRASH! the dustballs and lint and tiny pieces of paper all in the bottom of my box was all the proof I needed.

I order a lot from thred up. I got 200 lbs of all fast fashion xs clothing. Old navy was the best brand. Most of it was forever 21 and Wal-Mart. The worst thing was the 100% xs size. It was from Mechanicsburg also. The box was 30% off but a complete waste. The box had to be a mistake. I contacted thred up through their FB page and based on my purchase history they accepted a return. So I am waiting for that refund. Mechanicsburg has quality issues.

I also ordered a few boxes during this sale and they were all meh. I made my money back on this one from BST stores and was able to keep a few things for my kids and a handful to list, but profit is super low for the work. It's starting to make me suspicious about the boxes they send out during the sales. I ordered this box, a 25 piece mixed clothing, and a shoe box and all were pretty subpar. I had AMAZING boxes during my prior order also, so I was also comparing to that too.
Yeah it definitely makes me hesitant to ever order during a sale 😞
I love playing these videos and hearing the brands! My family owns a kids pop-up bi-annual consignment sale in AL & love knowing brands and styles that are in as well as reselling in general! 🩷 Our BST is 1 hour away in Alaska, so I haven’t tempted anything like this.. but I recently dropped off a load while we did Costco..I didn’t care to try to resell and swapped it for a Patagonia 2 Piece outfit for my toddler and a Kate Quinn outfit from my infant. It was a good trade of space for us!
A good trade is always the way to go!! I wish we had more pop ups here in Orlando. I only know of two and one is just once a year.
My last box was a 25 item womens box, it was also from a sale they ran in March… it was SO bad almost the entire box was donated, a few items trashed… but absolutely nothing I could take to BST or sell myself. Not one item :(

awe well I have definitely had several truly amazing and very profitable ones! and probably 3 that were awful, but this one takes the cake for sure. I just cant imagine if I had paid the entire $140!!

They did refund me $100 so I'm thankful for that but idk how much I'm gonna make off of it. Tell me WHY I still want to order another one 😆

I just got a kids box from PA, too...absolute garbage! I'm like you and have had GREAT ones, but this latest one WASNT IT!
well I am glad it wasnt just me BUT it isnt right that they charge for literal garbage. I feel like they just hope people wont complain.
I wonder where all this garbage came from? I got this box the same time you did and it was from Mechanicsville, PA. This stuff was garbage and Thredup had no business sending this very used stuff out. I know of at least a handful of people that got this box from PA during the last 30% off sale, and it really is the worst quality box I have ever received from Thredup. I appreciate you documenting this, so Thredup hopefully sees it.
I doubt they would even care to be honest. I do order from them often but I do not agree with how they do business. They claim you can send in donations to be responsibly dealt with and what they mean is they will SELL THE TRASH to people. It just isnt right. They build up their garbage piles and when they have 30% off sales every few weeks they offload it.
I stopped buying from ThredUp & Helpsy Source months ago. Got tired of my money going to waste!!
Helpsy for sure - I wrote them off. I still make a LOT of profit from Thredup, even with the occasional box like this.
