1:03 it's because Xiao Zhan played Wei Wuxian so well that many of us can't see him as anyone else, especially when he's in other period dramas. I'm just there like 'HELLO WEI WUXIAN' 😂
It's sad because I want to watch his other shows so bad because he's an amazing actor, I just can't unsee him as Wei Wuxian though

Xiao zhan is an amazing actor i literally binged through several of his shows a few years after i finished the untamed.
He feels completely different with character, sometimes he is barely recognizable to me as the same actor.
I started out with The Wolf, i didnt particular like the story of that show but xiao zhans character ji chong was the one that kept me watching it.
The longest promise has some amazing scenes that show off his acting range.
Two of his best modern romance works are the oath of love and sunshine by my side.

Hmmm yeah I didn't like the wolf. I found the main characters actions to be repetitive. It kept going in a cycle and I found that just tiring. Not to mention the misogynistic way of dealing with the romance aspect.
I don't particular enjoy the romance genre when there too much of a gender dynamic imbalance.

I mean, yeah, Xiao Zhan will always be Wei Wuxian for me. BUT he's also an amazing actor so I love to watch his works and see how much he embodies his characters. It's just such a joy watching his works.
Yibo too, will always be Lan Wangji. But he's been making amazing progress and his last movies and dramas are just so good

I don't think there even could be a s2. The novel it comes from ends shortly after they get married with some bonus chapters on their...intimate activities. Neither of which they could put in a cdrama.
