We are extremely blessed with beautiful birds. Please do your part to spread the awareness of avian flu so we can do more to prevent its spread. We need our beloved birds and they need our help and support. Save the birds and they can help save our planet.
Don't you wish you could pick the brain of that female I wonder what she is thinking sitting for hours ? I wish I had a mirror to see if I have any feathers out of place or wow I need to trim my nails 😆 So cool to watch thanks as always for sharing 🙏
Love the video! Thank you! I have these birds (a male and a female) in a small pine tree close to the front door and I can observe them all the time! They are adorable and sing a lot! ❤
Nice video!! I have never seen a finch nest and babies before. Boy those parents have there hands full with all those hungry babies. Can I ask what they built there nest in? Thanks for sharing video I enjoyed it. 😁👍
@@BirdsWalkingDown oh okay that’s why I have never seen one cause around here there are a lot of cats so it would be a bad idea to try and build there nest just anywhere around here. I love baby birds there so cute!!!
I'm feeding a baby house finch that's nest was attacked by a crow. This bird survived and is ok but the other baby birds are dead. This is day 4 and baby bird is doing well. I am feeding him every hour or two for 15 hours a day and keeping him in a clean little box inside a small cage. I think he is about 15 days old today. People on FB say I should take it to a bird rehabber. I read if this bird gets imprinted on me I can't release but must keep as a pet. HOW do the bird rehabbers prevent baby birds from getting imprinted on THEM?
I'm not an expert on how to help orphaned birds. You might read this article for help. www.allaboutbirds.org/news/i-found-a-baby-bird-what-do-i-do. You are a kind person for helping the baby.
I just raised three of these little ones. You are doing the right thing, the moment they were ready and able, they left and are doing fine. They should be able to eat on their own, fly, drink and preferably bathe but mine never really did that. I turned my bedroom into an aviary with branches brought in and put right next to the window where they would watch and learn from the birds at the bird feeder right in front. I miss them incredibly!
I have this above a pillar on my back patio. Watched this video to get a feel for when they’ll take off. It was cute and they are welcome to stay until it’s time for them to take off but it’s starting to become unsightly.
just look at all the crap just piling up as they rest their heads on it. i love watching these videos but man do i hate how disgusting it is. Baby chicks are the ugliest things in the world. great video though!

Can't wait to wild my yard next year. I wanna have so many wildflowers so bugs will thrive, and birds will thrive.
Good luck!

Thank you. From what I've seen, they like building their nests on people's front porch. I've never known them to use a nest box

How many days from hatched to leaving the nest?
12 - 19 days, but somewhere in the middle is typical
Wow - that is one dirty nest!
Yes it is
