- Monday Morning Racer was on location at Lancaster Dragway in Lancaster, NY for a beautiful Tuesday night of nostalgia drag racing. You'll see a pass from a nitro powered front engine dragster; a pair of AA Gassers, and a great Senior Nostalgia field. This video is of time trials and eliminations.

Near my home town of Youngstown , N.Y. Just up north. That's a long way from the "Southeast"! New York State Thruway right there. Lol!
Yes, it is about a 14 hour drive from my home in South Carolina. I lived outside of Rochester, NY, at one time. I started this channel while up there and got my start filming at Lancaster Dragway. Good group over there with some cool racing.
1/4 mile too!
Does, Roland Leongs - "The Hawaiin" - still exist.? From what I can remember it was painted in various beautiful colours of Blue, I think all it had on it was simply it's name, and I'm pretty certain it held several records in the petrol(gas) powered dragster field, - which it was.
I'm sure it lives on somewhere whether it's the NHRA museum or Don Garlits' museum in Ocala, FL.
@@MondayMorningRacer Thanks, - I remember seeing it in a lot of 'American Dragster' magazines in a shop near where I lived. They imported them for 'enthusiasts' all over our Country, (UK) in the early '60's. - Didn't someone build an 'experimental dragster' with 4 engines, - 2 side by side layout with 2 more in front, - each drove a different wheel I think. They got it to run just over 250 but couldn't get it to match the 300+ that the likes of 'Big Daddy' and others were posting all the time. I have often wondered what became of it, - engines and wheels used on others I expect, and the rest, - who knows.? - Curiosity - wasn't one of 'Big Daddies' called "The Wynns Jammer" because of the 'Oil Co.' that backed him a lot.
Thaks for posting this, I missed it and really wanted to go. You going back at all this year?
Man, it was fun! Definitely some good drag racing but some great stories with the drivers and their cars.

Sorry, didn't clearly answer your question earlier. My plan is to go to Lancaster each time there's a special event that I'm able to make. So, just look for the big round guy with bigger shades and a red beard (lol).
Was the red dodge Polara from MD?
I enjoyed the vid. I'm hoping to make it there, to a nostalgia race, to run my car
They run on Tuesday nights for the nostalgia guys. Good group! I really enjoy going to the track on those nights. What's your car?
@@MondayMorningRacer I have a 60s altered. I race at a lot of nostalgia races. Tons of fun
@ 4:34 what is the yellow car called Clown Car?
From what I have found, it is a 1958 English Ford Anglia. Follow link and scroll down a bit for source information - dragracingonline.com/2019/june/gasser-reunion-at-thompson-ohio.html
@@MondayMorningRacer - From the UK, (and a person who owned one), but not with an engine or suspension at that angle - quite correct. I should think the driver was sitting in the 'back'. Do you know what engine was in it.?
the red "grandpas dream". what is it?????
I believe it's a 62 Dodge Dart. I'll have confirmation later and will respond.
God dam the Devil 😈
Automatic suck you need to leave the line at 9 Grand X Gasser drag racer
Automatic or off the clutch I just enjoy drag racing and motorsports no matter what it is.
Ideally clutchflite automatic with a clutch is the way to go but a lot of money
Not directing this at you just everyone should leave the line at around 9 Grand unless you're a funny or a top rail
