It was kinda the last hooray for them in my book and thrashmetal in general, cause it kinda went under ground. With the advent of " flying the flannel movement" ( grunge scene ), nu metal and progressive metal. punk was injected into it all. But thrash did not stay down for long, and all the different metal genre's.

      +Sam the white van candy man as far as I know, there is no coneccion with this and anthrax, also, I have seen this joke in priest, metallica, helloween, testament, megadeth, sabbath and other bands music videos too, so I don't think there is really a reason, someone did it, and then everyone else did the same

    • @ivangomezprado434

      +Sam the white van candy man It's a joke to piss off people. Like saying " Oh this is a great Metallica song, I love how Dave Mustaine plays that piano solo and I love Tom Araya's drumming". That way metal elitists get pissed and start arguing.

    This is my favorite song by Anthrax. I love the upbeat tempo and the guitar work is awesome all the way around. And I love this guy's voice because he doesn't scream or deliver anger or anything like that, he actually sings - quite well I might add, which is rare for a thrash band.

    I love how each of the big 4 have their own style and how they shaped the metal scene as a whole, Metallica is pure unadultered Metal, Anthrax is more Punk, Megadeth is something more aking to speed/prog metal and Slayer is more Death/Black

    • @FarmersAreDummies
      @FarmersAreDummies Před rokem +24

      Metallica WAS unadulterated Metal

    • @mybluguitar6051
      @mybluguitar6051 Před rokem +28

      Honestly, I'd say metallica has more prog tendencies than megadeth (especially MoP and AJFA). If anything, Megadeth is more jazz fusion mixed with thrash, especially considering they had jazz fusion players like Gar, Poland, and Menza

    • @FarmersAreDummies
      @FarmersAreDummies Před rokem +16

      Wait, Slayer is Death/Black? They're songs are dark, but they've always been speed/thrash, dude.

    • @xfydr4764
      @xfydr4764 Před rokem +7

      @@FarmersAreDummies Show No Mercy is really Venom inspired, its really First Wave of Black Metallish, same can be almost said with Hell Awaits but its leaning more on death side, and Reign In Blood is generally considered Protodeath or something like that
      Then they kind of lost it, but still the legacy of those three albums lived on

    • @Skull7727
      @Skull7727 Před rokem +1

      @@FarmersAreDummieseven though Slayer is not called a death metal band they are the reason death metal music exists, in the 80's black metal has nothing to do with music, any band with satanic lyrics is called black metal, Mercyful Fate is also called black metal

    Many times I have looked at the open road, many times I have lied - many times I have literally listened, many times I have thought how much there is to know, but gentle is the man who knows who he was missing, but many dreams come true and some have positive sides, but I live for my dreams and often pockets of gold
