    Is there an ideal grill for a single older person? Yep! We and bought this small 2-burner grill for my mother, who is turning 70 and who wanted to grill more on her own. I own the 4-burner version of this Char-Broil brand grill, so can attest to the quality and longevity (2 years) and ease of use. But the 4-burner was really too large for her. We purchased this grill instead (we found a great deal on sale online!) and assembled it for her and then fired it up, which I show and explain in these video instructions and review. Some of its features include: Electric push-start button, stainless steel, TRU-Infrared cooking technology that prevents flare-ups, 4 heavy-duty castor wheels to move around easily, and 2 shelves that fold up/down - it's really ideal for an older single person looking to grill for him/herself with the option of hosting/cooking for 6-12 friends/family as well. All in all, a very cool little grill. Hope this helps!

    I have had mine for about 6 years. Replaced the burners about three years ago, warranty applied so no cost. The crossover tube has corroded and fallen in now so the left burner does not auto light - I use a hand held lighter to light it. I ordered replacement burners, ignitor, bottom catch pan yesterday. I don't think you will get ten years but may be all in how good of care you take. Good Luck.

      Appreciate the comment! Definitely recommend regular cleaning and a cover if exposed to elements to help prolong lifespan.

    We just had finished putting our new grill together and I found your video, and, oops, found out we did a couple of things incorrectly. Tomorrow were going to go back and fix our mistakes. Thanks for saving us.

    Great video, I don't suppose you know what's the max size gas bottle that will fit underneath?

    Nice video. My Napoleon 2 burner made it 6 years and I plan to buy this one as I want the flare-up protection. Mine connects to my propane line running into the house for FP and I do not need a tank. I would recommend putting a fuel gauge for $30 that will let your mom know when it's getting low. I also appreciate the links. Thank you.

    Thank you! Quick question. There are two small supports between the burners with retention pond holding them in place. Do I keep them on or do you remove them?

    • @ThisBetterHome

      I can't remember (I don't have the grill at my house). The instructions didn't say?

    Well done, but you didn't show what the long chain on the left side is used for 🙋

      Sorry for that. It’s a match holder / igniter, a safety feature that allows you to light the grill manually with a match in case the electronic ignition fails. This way, you can safely ignite the grill without getting too close to the burners.

  • @stevenguzy570
    @stevenguzy570 Před rokem

    Thanks!! There are two supports with pins between the two burners. Do you remove them or do they stay in place? I kept them on but the pins seem to get inordinately hot and seem like they don't belong after using the grill.

      @ThisBetterHome  Před rokem

      I don't remember taking out two pins. I'd call Char-Broil!

    I have the same one but I think its a little older model but is there a way to regulate the temperature because I keep both burners at the lowest level and the temp will easily climb above 400 degrees

    • @ThisBetterHome
      @ThisBetterHome  Před rokem

      Try just one burner at its lowest level, not both. Or maybe pop the lid open more frequently so heat can escape. It is a powerful little thing for sure.

    • @hypermoose5794
      @hypermoose5794 Před rokem +2

      @@ThisBetterHome I found out that I though the lowest level was the highest so whenever I thought it was too high then I turned it even higher because I thought it would be turning it lower if that makes sense.

    I am looking at a sale-flyer right now offering this grill for almost half price at $300.00 instead of $500.00, though it is a 3-burner, not the two burner.... The number of pieces to put together seems daunting to me as I watch your video. I just watched a review of one after three years, hopelessly rusted out and so I don't think I am going to buy it.

  • @fernandorodriguezmeneses7235

    The side chain...... is for what?

    • @ThisBetterHome
      @ThisBetterHome  Před rokem +2

      It's for holding a match in the event you have to manually light the burners. I never use it.
