- Playing along to the song "You're All I Wanna Do" by Cheap Trick from the album "Woke Up with a Monster". I listened to it a few times and got it recorded in the first take. Yet another great song by the group. I like so many songs by them, and this is one of my favorites. It's not a hard song to play, but I just really like it a lot. They've had so many fantastic songs over the years, but for some reason the radio only plays the same two songs over and over. The first time I heard of Cheap Trick was on Detroit radio. The song was "Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace" from their first album which came out in early 1977. I immediately ran out and bought the album. They came to the Detroit area, and I saw them play at the Royal Oak Theater on Saturday March 5, 1977. The opening band was Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers. Cheap Trick came on next. And the headlining band was the Runaways (which included Joan Jett and Lita Ford). I still have the ticket stub. All bands were great, but Cheap Trick became, for me, one of the best live acts to see. Video recorded Saturday, June 8, 2024.
