  • Full episode of "I've Got a Secret" from November 14, 1956 with host Garry Moore and panelists Bill Cullen, Mary Healy, Henry Morgan, and Faye Emerson.
    Segment #1: 7-year old musician and orchestra conductor Joey Alfidi: "I'm going to conduct Toscanini's orchestra in Carnegie Hall". He also plays 12 musical instruments and at the end of the game performs briefly on piano, trombone, bass, and vibraphone. A much older Joey Alfidi (8 years old) can be seen in this clip from a 1957 "What's My Line" appearance: • 8-year-old symphony co...
    Segment #2: Freddy Renucci of Elizabeth, NJ: "I gave Elvis Presley a haircut."
    Segment #3: Guest Robert Young: The entire contents of Faye Emerson's dining room have been transported backstage as part of a farewell party for Faye, who's leaving IGAS to star in a play (which evidently didn't last long because she was back as a regular panelist a few months later).

    I often wondered if there was an episode of one of these shows where the entire panel had to disqualify themselves. This is the closest I've seen it get.

    The only other young leader of a musical group that I've seen on a tv kinnie film print of "I've Got A Secret"? Is? Duffy Jackson..the son of Chubby Jackson the famed singing jazz bandleader,musican,songwriter,puppteer and kids tv host/performer.

      nah, she was just hamming and being a sport about it, the prank was really very good-natured and light-hearted. They were all her dear friends wishing her a very genuine and sweet toast on her last episode before leaving to do her Broadway show.

    I'm surprised about this programme? When What's My Line was such a HUGE success...what's the point of this programme at that time anyway? Very strange...

    • @slade307
      @slade307 Před 6 lety +5

      What's My Line is strictly about jobs (line of work). You wouldn't have the barber who cut Elvis's hair or (in another episode) a woman who was hit by a meteorite. It might be better to compare this to To Tell The Truth which also dealt with things people did or experienced except that show has the panel picking the real person who is seated with two imposters.
