On my first playtrough i accidentally went into the titans boss arena and i just left cause there was nothing there
Yeah, it’s a massive area so the trigger is kinda hard to find. Still crazy that it’s just always there though, ready at all times.

Saving minutes in a speedrun is like a miracle. People freak out over 2 second saves and sometimes world records and 2nd place records are only milliseconds apart. So thinking it saves minutes is just so crazy.
Sonic games ain’t known for being the most polished franchises, cause of the oversights like that glitch.
What I love about this game is that when the dev’s patched the game so that people couldn’t do this they intentionally left a hole in the invisible ceiling of the arena for speed runners.
Funny thing is if you do this on the demo version on the switch it just crashes the game
Maybe they don’t want you to play ares or chaos or the rest without paying
On my first playthrough I ended up walking into the wyvern boss fight and was so confused when the fight started when I only had 3-4 chaos emeralds

do you think you could do a video that shows off how speedrunners skip ares? i’ve been trying to figure it out (namely finding the spawn area for wyvern) but i just can’t quite nail it. great content as always tho :)
Wow I am seriously late on this but I would recommend finding a Frontiers Speedrun or alternatively I made a video specifically about the Island Skips where I talk about what you need to do to get wyvern to spawn, I’ll link it here: czcams.com/video/3IVelBlhF_Y/video.html

Minutes? Nah fam, more like hours
Be careful with doing this, though. Wyvern, especially, is constantly in action, and the trigger only sets its tower phase off. Turns out, you can end up sort of breaking the game if you try to come back and do story stuff in Ares Island.

plot twist: sonic just paused time with the chaos emerald and collected all of them in 1 millisecond, you just didn't see it
I saw the tower on Ares island and I was like “Yeah that’s where I fight that boss, I probably shouldn’t go in there.”
Most common trick for Kronos is an HSP to skip all of the island, the only island this doesn’t work in is Choas and Oranos, since Chaos has a death plain over the arena until you complete the pinball section and Oranos since there isn’t an arena to travel to or a 7 emerald to collect before hand.
Yep! Ares is a easy one to skip too
@@DawnSRC Ares you could put your speed to max in settings and get power boost [both are easy to do] and you could accidentally run into the arena for the Wyvern fight, since the only mandatory emerald is the last one, it’s easy to be the first to islands, Chaos and Oranos aren’t so easy since you actually have to play the game to beat the island: Chaos since you can only get to the arena after pinball which is a quest you get after getting the 6th emerald and Oranos since you need to collect the six emeralds around the map to get the cutscene that transitions you into the boss fight

I get into the ares boss arena every time i play. I even went back through the cave you use to enter to find the blocked door on the other side and even climbed the tower. I couldnt access the trigger though, (not that I knew it was possible anyway).

I swear bro i just casually walked in there and tried fighting the titan but for some reaosn when i was close to beating the titan i just died by a this big attack. I dont remember what it was but i think it was fire? It was months ago so i cant remember
Sup Mr. Dawn when it comes to getting through the fog to get to the crater in chaos you can actually enter the only problem is that there isn't a boss trigger to fight Knight though I think that maybe the boss trigger is where the lava pours down the volcano to clear the fog revealing the boss its just that there is an invisible wall that stops you from entering that side. How I know there's a way to enter the arena early is from this Japanese player who posted his discovery on youtube not to long after the games release I'm going to try to give you his name that way you can see.
Well anyway I couldn't get his exact name but I do know that if you look up wyvern chase skip and scroll to the people that make the tutorials you'll find his name and if you go to his videos you'll find one talking about it and just to make this clear he's the person that discovered this not me so all this goes to him.

I think that emerald is as strong as 7 emeralds
It only saves minutes
Sure that's a lot of time in terms of speedruning but seriously how long does it take to do these skips or how quickly are they getting the emeralds without doing the skips
Heck I I did a skip like that it would have saved me like 20 minutes minimum because even going as fast as I can It would take me probably over half an hour to get all the emerald's and that's if I was lucky
i just finished frontiers today and funny thing inthe latest update they removed the end boss fight cuz people got so made about it lol

it would be cool if they allowed you to go super sonic with a certain amount of rings in update 3 but they did axe that in this game.
@@Ollie.H-2301 In somewhere in the late release of Sonic, in sonic cd (i think) you needed 50 rings to transform.
