Now let me get this straight.
We aren’t talking about ATM fees. We’re talking about a fee just to use your card anywhere.
And you want to do away with cash money that has no fee.
    Makes cents. For the banks.

    CHARACTER 2022 ?
Some of us are as God planned
    Though many are far worse.
Our characters are not of marble
So the Devil may work his curse.
Fame is what we steal or take
    Character is what we give.
To this truth we must awake
So we might begin to live.
There is some good in all of us
Which may not show at first.
With good character of heart and soul
We prepare ourselves for the worst.
Show me a liar and you have found a thief
Whose character is controlled by hell.
They love what's wrong and hate what's right
And they're lucky they're not all in jail.
The power of truth helps preserve mankind
When our angel within is allowed to rise.
Men, women, children, kings and presidents
Are blessed by deeds not falsehoods or lies.

Compatition is good, however consumers don't pay credit card swipe fees, the retailer does. Consumers only pay for debit cards but can escape that by requiring it be run as credit, no cost. So who is benefiting? Retailers? Big money backers? Also if the Fed raises interest rates, rates go up for all including CC companies. So before we propose legislation let's at least understand how the business works and be transparent as to why it is good. Shame on Mr Payne for not asking the questions. Let's hope and pray for everyone especially Mr Payne and Senator Marshall to see the light and do the right things for everyone not just themselves. My opinion

If the cost of doing business goes up for the retailer, so will the consumer cost !!

    • @sdvten
      @sdvten Před rokem +1

The retailer passes as much of the cost on swipe fees as they can to the customer. A lot of places have discounts for cash, sometimes even discounts for debit cards. The credit card companies REALLY started screwing people even harder after the 08' crash because they went to all variable rates. CC companies have to charge over prime but not 5 times or more over prime. Then they make money on swipe fees, percentage fees, loans on CC income, etc. CCs are a huge scam and we would be better off if they never existed.
