These resources are all great. I haven't played YGO since literally 2003, so a lot of this is absolutely daunting to look at. Having some starter idea of where to build decks and how to get a good deck for ranked is great. Thank you!

First genner here too. Running a new version of blue eyes Deck that is going to be nuts. Fetch for blue eyes, up to ultimate then to shining and up for the dragons I tribute to get there x300. Op dragon for sure. Gotta get another lord of d and flute of summoning dragon to get where I want my deck to be.

Thanks man , gotta say it might be really helpful for me , I left Yu-Gi-Oh around XYZ , came back recently with Master Duel with a “Pank-Kids” budget deck , while I’m slowly but surely crafting it definitely gonna be nice to see people playing with it , learn combo and eventually in a near futur upgrade some of the cards.
I haven't played for over 10 years, so there's soooo many crazy summoning techniques I yet have to learn. But I unlocked a secret pack around Lunalights and I got curious about that archtype. I tried to find youtubers explaining this, but everyone I've seen explain for ppl who knows their stuff and I not for an "old dog" like me. I really like the way you explain stuff, so if you want to make videos about specific decks, I would love to see one about Lunalights :)
i mean this in the best possible way with zero sarcasm, i love that you highlight looking up other content creators to inform ourselves about different possibilities within whichever deck we want to build. as someone who hasn't played yu-gi-oh since it first came out (seriously, i never played since the og anime came out lmao) more information is always great.
in all of the other games that i dive into, i've probably heard looking up other creators once or twice. it's very rare imo.

@@JayMcd91 start with a structure deck hit the L2 if u have playstation and it will bring up a screen wit tings u can to do the card u can generate are break the cards down u will see it says related cards hit that and start buliding on to the structure decks that u have they made it a lil easy to bulid a deck
I think i blue eyes deck would be nice. It's kind of one of the 3 starters and very popular in general, so a lot of people probably could benefit from that. And since blue eyes its such an iconic card a lot of the people that just came back to yugioh will probably just pick that up and those are the people that would need soms help or imspiration the most anyways
I would love to see a video on Code Talker, seeing as one of the starter decks is Link based.

As a new player (I haven't played since it first launched back in the day)
It's important to start with a competitive yet simple deck so you can do ranked and start earning all the rewards to continue building other decks and learning the mechanics of the cards and then build your own decks from that
But if you wing it on your own, you will bury yourself
I built a strong lyrilusc deck made it to platinum and now I'm just messing around with everything else
Abundance of crafting materials and gens
yeah I didn't do this instead focused on a deck I just wanted to do which was aromage, but it's a real grind to get a win with the deck when everyone else is just doing meta stuff.

You summed my experience up perfectly. I would love to build my own deck starting off but here that is 100% a trap (I fell for that trap card)
My friend got a UR of some mech monster (digger something or other) and then opened more packs for that deck and crafted for it. He has a decent time so far now.
I haven't crafted much yet nor opened up different packs so I still have the option but I am struggling even with using the starting decks.
This is a good advice for people that want to build a meta deck, but I just want to have fun. I'm a new player and it's really difficult to learn how to build a deck, there's no guide at all, how to use a "engine", how to combine it with your deck, also there's a lot of concepts that players normally use that yes, i can google it, but then I can't apply it to make anything.
I want to learn but there are no good sources for me to actually do it.
I mean I already copy a deck from master duel meta, leart who to play it and got to platinum, but I want to build a good deck by myself not just copy, I really want to learn xD
The only guides teaches you the basics of the game or basically copy decks.
Im a Toon / Hero Andy , and i get stomped 7-10 fights and i still love every minute of it.

I dont know when the game will be updated to get the dawn of majesty cards but I would love to see a Synchron deck because Jet Synchron is at 3 and not banned and because I love synchro monsters and don’t really understand those link and pendulum monsters because I left the game when pendulums came out but returned when I saw the cards in Dawn of majesty
Same here!! I left right after XYZ and right before pendulum so I went ahead and made my old school gladiator beast deck with some modern upgrades and I’m having a great time!
I have another important question:
If I need like only one copy of UR card and it isn't used in any other decks. Should I pull for the card or just craft it using the points.
I am confused where a decklist has staples that I don't have.
So the question is :
Should I craft the staples first or the cards that I need for the deck?
Hi Solemn. I'm a complete beginner to the YGO TCG, so I have no idea what deck I want to play on Master Duel. How would you recommend a beginner like me pick a deck to play with? Also, does the deck you play matter if you want to climb in ranked (ie can you climb in ranked using a "non-meta" deck)

From what I've heard from friends, and personal experience myself, you definitely don't need a "meta" deck to climb in ranked. You can climb a decent amount with a "non-meta" deck. However, just because a deck is "non-meta", doesn't mean that it can necessarily be... bad.
As someone who's almost completely new myself, I can say that the starting decks the game hands you are BAD. At least, the dragon deck is. I've managed to get to bronze 3 by pure luck (dude that was destroying me while I was in bronze 4 disconnected) and aside from that I was on a bad streak of losses.

Watch a bunch of videos I wouldn't buy or craft any cards until you know what you wana play. Pick a play style like control aggro etc
You dont need a meta deck. Thats because the meta is defined by winrates. Winrates depend on the skill of a player. If a "pro player" plays the meta and off meta and afterwards compares it he will have a slightly higher winrate with meta. But in master duel there are a lot of "low skilled" people. Now when a low skilled person pilots a meta deck you can easily win with off meta.
In short: Yugioh is pretty skill dependant. The meta only matters when we are talking about the top players who almost never missplay.

Im just so happy as hell 🤗🤗🤗i got my darkworld deck on day one and free gems .need the monsters poping out the cards like in the animation. They would of nailed it 4sure but its way better than duel links thats 4sure.thanks bro for the inf0.
It would help soooooo much if we were able to practice with our custom decks offline. Unless im missing something I can't seem to find that option. Hopefully it's in a future update because I'm terrible but enjoy the game. Great video 🍻

In some solo quests you will have a reward for completing it with loaner deck and option to use custom deck for another reward.

Imwo the "Secret Packs" unlocked by playing "Solo Mode" rn't worth even buying cuz what what would make them worth buying them is for the price of "1 Pack" b for "50 💎s" and of "10 Packs" b for "500 💎s" of which it'd very fair since you can as well unlock them either by Crafting a Card to get a "🔑 Card" or simply buying the "Master Pack" to also get a "🔑 Card".

Id love to see how youd build and readjust the structure decks when you buy 3 of each packs, like you would in duel links. Itd be an amazing help to build some op structure decks.
That’s just not a good strategy in my opinion :/

@@juaecheverria0 there's only two purchaseable Structure Decks right now and both are for pretty old strats, and neither includes good generic staples.
