- Hey Friends! This is just a short video on how to win a ton of tickets at the arcade by playing Tailgate Toss! This game is like your traditional backyard cornhole game. The key is to get as many streaks as you can by getting 3 bags in a row into the same colored hole. Alternating back and forth between the red holes and the blue holes is the EASIEST way to get the highscore on this game. You also want to beat the highscore by the smallest amount possible. This raises the score to beat by the minimum and therefore allows you to try and beat the game again ... and again ... and again. So sit back, relax, and learn how to win a ton of tickets at the arcade by playing Tailgate Toss!

I'm going back to D&B soon but I never really knew any strategies for getting tickets. But I just watched this and your Down The Clown video and I think this advice will help me (assuming the games you show aren't closed for distancing, but some of them are).

So I went to dave and busters and tried this game, I was really good at it. Only the thing is, the conveyor belt kept stopping and at times i had no bags whatsoever to toss for a span of 4 seconds or so. Also when i reached for the bags it tilted.
Yeah ... you have to be careful about that. My suggestion is to get all the bags before the time starts and before you throw any. And then you should be able to have a steady stream of bags coming done the belt. Waiting for the bags is the biggest time killer
I tried this strategy and I won 1000 tickets in my first 4 tries

Tilden Leonard hahahah yeah! But I think I could play this game much more than I could play down the clown. Down the clown gets more tiring because of the throwing motion, tailgate toss is easier on the arms lol.
Since you say you go blue to red. Each cycle of blue to red with streaks is 25k.
(2000*3)+5000 & (3000*3)+5000 = 25000
So to beat the minimum score, it’s just need 5 streaks between blue & red. So you could have kept it close to 60k points.
JetFalcon yeah. Mewtwostrikesback actually gave me the breakdown in order to keep winning by the minimum! Since then I’ve been able to beat the machine by as little as possible and have maxed it out past 99999
When it maxes out at 99,999, can you hypothetically keep getting 100,000 and winning the jackpot?
Or does it still track the next highest score to beat to win, despite showing only 5 digits at 99,999?
You can win past the 99,999 … I’ve done it myself a few times!
I think this machine was a little broken, typically the wheel with the holes would reverse directions and go counter-clock wise, I didn't see that at all.
Jamestube 8439 it was indeed broken! They’ve since fixed it but it made it much easier to win the jackpot ... well ... I guess it did. The game is not that hard anyways.

Step 1: don't miss
92500 is my highest
First thing's first - your machine's broken, and part of the motor has died. When it stops for 7 seconds, it should be turning the other way. Please let them know to put in an order for a replacement motor at your store.
Second: You tried to teach everyone well, but your execution was way off. I want to help you though - I'm not going to tear into you like the jackasses over on 80's toy hunter - they have a public callout video coming soon - because your heart's in the right place. You WANT people to max their ticket output! That's what we should all be going for! ...but your on-the-fly math needs to improve.
The maximum you should be beating the score to win by is **5,000**. Both games you played were overscores; your first game you should have stopped at 36,500 as you already had 5 streaks at this point, making 61,500. Your second game you should have stopped at the 48,000 you had with 3 red and 2 blue streaks, as this makes 73,000.
I cover a lot of this in a video I have on my channel - czcams.com/video/k12s2s-EhbE/video.html - it shows the proper progression for the first 10 jackpots you should be hitting.
A few easy tips to help: A red streak, counting the bonus, is 14,000. A blue streak is 11,000, and a green streak is 8,000. If you're playing to where you focus solely on red and blue streaks, every six bags you throw while trying to get your score up quickly (3 red hole, 3 blue hole) is 25,000. Counting in 25,000 increments is usually easy.
Assuming you are playing optimally, going for red streaks first, blue streaks only when red is not available, and green streaks only to make sure you don't overscore, your progression should be as follows:
First jackpot upon power-on - 61,000. 3 streaks in red, 2 streaks in blue. This is 39,000 + 25,000 streak bonus = 64,000.
Next game: 66,000. 3 streaks in red, 2 in blue, and one additional bag in blue after the third red streak. This is 41,000 + 25,000 streak bonus = 66,000.
Next game: 71,000. To be safe - 3 streaks in red, 2 in blue, 1 in green. This is 42,000 + 30,000 streak bonus = 72,000.
Next game: 76,000. 3 streaks in red, 3 streaks in blue, and one single bag in green. This is 46,000 + 30,000 streak bonus = 76,000.
Next game: 81,000. Safe version: 3 streaks in red, 3 in blue, 1 in green. This is 48,000 + 35,000 streak bonus = 83,000. Alternatively you can do 3 streaks red, 3 streaks blue, and two individual bags in red without hitting the third, which will be 51,000 + 30,000 streak bonus = 81,000 exactly, but if you accidentally throw a third bag in red, you will make 89,000 which is an overscore penalty.
Next game: 86,000. 4 streaks in red, 3 in blue. That is 54,000 + 35,000 streak bonus = 89,000.
Next game: 91,000. 4 streaks in red, 3 in blue, and one additional bag in blue after the fourth red streak. This is 56,000 + 35,000 streak = 91,000.
Next game: 96,000. 4 streaks in red, 3 in blue, 1 in green. This is 57,000 + 40,000 streak bonus = 97,000.
Next game: 101,000. 4 streaks in red, 4 in blue, and one single bag in green.
You have the raw skill, but you need to refine it (plus get your machine fixed with the replacement motor.) I hope you will end up doing this, re-shooting the video, and showing off what will be your newfound skills!
Thanks mewtwo! I’ve talked to the manager and called corporate numerous times about this location. Nothing ever gets changed or fixed. This tailgate toss has been broken for months ... I’ve reported it ... nothing. Not sure if you have any contacts that can help there? Otherwise, it’s just persistence on my end. Don’t even get me started on the down the clown machines.
I appreciate the help with the math sides of things! I’m going to study through this and get it figured out. I’ve just never taken the time to sit down and do what you have done here for me. I’ll be taking advantage of D&B half priced games after 9pm ... and practicing this game a lot. Once I can get the scoring system down, my goal will be to max out the machine and beyond! I’ll continue to work and show off those new skills! I didn’t know 80s toy hunter was getting such negativity :/ that’s unfortunate. Thanks again! I look forward to the day we can arcade together ... 80's Toy Hunter deliberately overscores every Tailgate Toss and Bean Bag Toss machine they get their hands on. It fucks everyone else over for the rest of the day - and they're fucking PROUD of it. Seriously, they talk about it in one of their videos. It's one thing if you are racking up tickets and going 61k, 66k, 71k, 76k, etc. and incrementing it all the way well above 100k, so long as you're getting every ticket you can in the process. But throwing 100k on a 61k game is so absolutely ridiculous I'm surprised no one else has personally called them out on the negative impact they're having on their community to their faces. And they're resellers/flippers - which is not a bad thing - but it adds an extra level of hypocrisy because they should know how difficult it is to make it in the world of flipping and they're actively taking resources away from everyone else for no reason. It's getting so bad that other people are calling them out on it in the comments in their more recent videos.
By the way, once you master 100k, I will go through and up to 150k with you. I can shoot video for you at some point if this helps. Don't be afraid to PM me here or anywhere else.
