Diba sa dun sa alpha sa z-test is 0.05 tapos two tailed. Diba dapat e split siya sa two region so dapat bawat region is merong 0.025 kaya dapat ang z score niya is 1.96. Tama ba ako or mali?

Thank you very much for your explicit tutorial. But check your (EXAMPLE 4 ) calculation again. It was a TWO-TAILED TEST and the alpha was 0.10. I think you should have divided alpha(0.10) by 2 to get 0.05. Then you will use 0.05 and df of 14 to get the critical t-value from the TWO-TAILED t-table. That would have given a critical t-value of 2.145 ( i.e -2.145 and 2.145). BUT from how you calculated it your t-value is 1.761( i.e -1.761 and 1.761). Please can you, or can anyone here clarifies it for me ? I could probably be wrong in my thinking. Thanks !!

Why do you divide the alpha by 2? As far as I know, whatever alpha is given, that's it. No need to divide.

If you split the significance level( ALPHA) you will now look into 1 tail column. Its just that she used different kind of table where it shows the 1 and 2 tails. Usually, its just single tail table.
