  • An excellent morning/afternoon spent at the always busy station of Peterborough on the East Coast Mainline where we see plenty of services from Virgin Trains East Coast, Cross Country, East Midlands Trains, Grand Central, Hull Trains, Govia Great Northern and freight from DB Cargo UK, Freightliner and GBRF.
    This station is always fantastic to film at so I do highly recommend this to anyone who hasn't been here before.
    My next station is York.
    You can now find me on Facebook through the group Tornado922, there you will find regular updates, videos and photos from all of my goings on throughout 2016

    @7.56 Reminds me of the 2010 visit i made to the UK i was heading back to London after spending a couple of days in York and how all trains heading to Kings Cross were delayed caused by signalling issues at Darlington.Though my of the two trains there and back from York i liked the HST i took up to York partly because of the interior partly because of this one only calling at Peterborough this particular HST was working The Northern Lights service to Aberdeen.

    Jarred take the last two numbers from the coach numbers and that gives you the whole set number if there are going slow enough to catch them

  • @sam4468_
    @sam4468_ Před 7 lety

    The GC 180 numbers are at the front, quite low down on the couplers' electrical connection covers. Small white numbers, often dirty or sometimes completely hidden by a bag covering the entire coupler.

      @Tornado922  Před 7 lety

      Righteo thanks very much for letting me know, I'll keep a look out

  • @arnoldspottingvideos5269

    The GC is 180101 doing a service from Bradford Interchange 1A63. The Grand Central Adelenate/Zephyr were so easy for me cause of the sticker/name plate on the train to which number it is but some of them don't have one most likely 180101 don't have the name of it. Same with the voyagers is hard to get numbers.

    Numbers on Grand Central Adelantes are either on the front couplers at the end of the units or on the side of each vehicle. The rule is it will be 180 1??, the last two numbers are the last two on the vehicle numbers.

    Great video, my friend. It was great to see what Peterborough station has become. We lived nearby from 1969 to 73. That was when they reduced the sharp curve through the station for higher speeds. One point: are the ECML Virgins a slightly orange colour or was it an optical illusion? I have always seen Virgins as bright red.

      @Tornado922  Před 7 lety

    Last night I had hell on the WCML. I wanted to get a train from Harrow & Wealdstone to Hemel Hempstead but no I there platform alterations so I had to cross a platform then get on a train to Watford junction to arrive at platform at to then cross to platform 6 wait twenty minutes to get a packed train to Hemel Hempstead where there were no cabs FFS

      I live in Glasgow and trying to get to Lockerbie, my pendolino there was alright, then my transpeninne service to Lockerbie, which was 20 minutes delayed, and my train back was cancelled so rip me...
      Anyway skip a few hours and I’m back in the station, and see our train is delayed by a hour... so my cancelled train was pointless anyway lmao

    How would you tornado get there from Leighton

    • @Tornado922
      @Tornado922  Před 6 lety +2

      You would either have to get a bus from Leighton Buzzard to Milton Keynes where you would then need to catch another bus to Peterborough. Or you can drive. If you wanted to get the train then you would have to go to London Euston then walk or get the tube to Kings Cross and catch either a VTEC service or Great Northern

  • @agoogleuser8170

    • @Tornado922
      @Tornado922  Před 6 lety

      The 387's are going to be running every service on the ECML along with the 700's at some stage. The 365's will be going off lease and put in storage somewhere

      @keiranclarke2955 Před 6 lety

      Tornado922 thank you so much thought it was going to be a nightmare because you know me I like my 387s and it nice for them to run with the class 700s because they are both modern and they are both wonderful trains. I don't care about the 365s because they aren't that nice.
