    I’ve owned a Forester and a Q5 and I’ll pick Q5 every time.

    The infotainement is really a killer. Its just something I just can't allow, especially changing app on the highway or driving

    Sorry, everything on the new 2025 Forester is not new. They still have the same old anemic underpowered boxer 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that they just tweaked a tad. Subaru needs to offer more powerful engine selections for the Forester.

      @@Sluffles If you are fully satisfied with the status quo why would you need to challenge the desires in my comment? It doesn't challenge your limitations whatsoever.

      @@Sluffles Passing power on the highway for one. I remember seeing a semi truck start moving into the lane of a Forester on the interstate and the Forester had to drive into the shoulder of the interstate because it didn't have the power to blow passed the semi.

    2025 Subaru Fordester. I'm hoping they don't ruin the Outback with that look as we are considering one form my wife when the time comes to replace her truck. I went with a 2024 Wilderness for two reasons, no big iPad screen (give me knobs) and no Ford Explorer front end. Oh, actually three, the Wilderness Edition won't be released until 2026.

      Totally agree with you, the screen is a deal breaker for us. Keep a smaller screen for the entertainment system, keep knobs and buttons for HVAC and seat and wheel heaters. It is way easier and faster to turn knobs and push buttons for items that are used lots instead of going thru screens. Less time looking at screen and more time looking at the road, way safer. Plus we like to keep vehicles for 10 yrs. plus, way cheaper to replace a button than a complete screen, pretty sure I know which will last longer.

    This design certainly is very different from the 24. I think it looks much more conservative, plain & functional.
    Subaru is so confident in the inner qualities of their products that they dont need to make radical style changes ( look no further than cars like the latest Mitsubishi Outlander )

      I think the 24 is a nicer looking vehicle.

      @@TheCaptjamestkirk I own a 2020 Forester Limited & love the car. I can't see buying a 2025 since the changes are so minuet. I was waiting for a new & improved 2025 Forester but am disappointed. I guess I'll have to wait another 5 years for their new models.

    It’s really funny that on all these channels everyone comments on how they wish the manufacturers would stick with the naturally aspirated engines and not the turbos. Subaru does this and everyone looses their minds! 😂

  • @hyojoonus
    @hyojoonus Před 2 měsíci +1

    The engine is really the weakest link. The engine was introduced 14 years ago, the power output has not increased, but the weight of the car has by about 10%. The engine is definitely up for improvement. I’m puzzled they don’t put the existing working turbo engine to mitigate the fact their hybrid is way overdue. Then again, new engine, new problems. Always happens.

    If 80% of the transmission components have been revamped, how can you say it is more reliable. Isn't that time dependent to see how the new components actually perform?
