why do all the buses in Indonesia look brand new and cool? I have never seen any old buses there, This is amazing because when I went there in 2013 there were still lots of ugly and rusty buses, they are developing very fast
Indonesia's bus industry is rapidly growing in order to maintain the development of highway infrastructure. If any bus operator company can't keep up the pace, they wouldn't able to compete with other company that giving premium services
You will see bad and old buses but only the cheap inter city buses , while inter Province Buses always look brand new because the company cares about their business.

The best bus ride sensation in Indonesia is when you travel at night. That would be a great experience. You may fall asleep soundly or you may not sleep at all because night buses usually go faster than morning buses. They will race buses🤣. Don't take a sleeper bus but take an executive bus. Take a seat in the front seat, prepare your camera for moments on the road.

8:03 that is Kartasura bus terminal. Kartasura is different to Surakarta although it's located nearby. The Surakarta bus terminal (Tirtonadi) is a big and modern terminal.

20:15 Almost every intercity bus driver in Indonesia use the turn indicator when changing lanes and turn on the hazards if there are road repair or other vehicles are slowing down. It will look more attractive at night 😁

Btw, there is another bus that is faster than this, namely the Sudiro Tunggal Jaya bus which once ran at a speed of 160 kmh. A little information about drivers in Indonesia, they use blinkers to communicate, including: 1. If a vehicle overtakes from the right lane and turns on the right turn signal, it means that the vehicle behind it is safe to overtake. Meanwhile, if a vehicle turns on the left turn signal, it means that it is not safe for the vehicle behind it to overtake 2. If a vehicle is overtaking from the left lane then it is the opposite of point number one, meaning that the left signal means it is safe to overtake and the right signal means that the vehicle behind it is not safe to overtake.

In Indonesia, there is no speed locked system where their Buses are flying at 160 KMPH as well.. in India we have speed locked at 80 KMPH as per govt. rules.. Somewhere we need to change the rules else we will not enjoy our express ways.. 😊

You have to try night bus from Jakarta to central Java. We have bus drag race called Pantura race 😂. My recomendation bus operator is Harianto, Sudiro tungga jaya or new shantika. It Will completing your bus journey in indonesia..

In India the problem is with driving discipline by all vehicles. In 2014, 90 people burnt to death in two Volvos due to accident. All passengers dead. The 80kmph rule was brought by governments post that.

15:22 the thing in India is Road Sense oc People driving I'm India. Like anyone can come from anywhere on the road. Expressways are access controlled but they are not best for Bus operators in India in terms of Passenger pickups/droppings & lack of good rest stops. They had to go deep into cities to collect & drop Passengers. Rest heavy toll rates, lack of expert high speed drivers can be an issue.

I started watching your Indonesian series, I expected more like what are the cities to go to in Indonesia and attractions to see in Indonesian cities, like bali, Yogyakarta and jakarta. Instead I ended up with few bus simulator kind of videos and a bali video which doesn't provide any info.

what I find very surprising Is the bus overtaking on the left lane. in the uk this is not allowed as overtaking from the left means it could be on the blind spot of the vehicle on the right , this is considered dangerous with a potential for accident . when the lanes are empty buses & heavy vehicles stick to the left lane only allowing the right lane(s) for overtaking or faster moving cars or other vehicles . Also I hardly saw a truck/lorry on the highway - is there no goods movement ?? very surprising
ok found trucks when the bus entered Jakarta city but the highways is surprisingly very few trucks.
Trucks & heavy vehicles only allowed to drive in Toll road at night time..
Coz in some areas the road are mountainery & hilly.. So trucks with heavy loading.. will slow down the speed and could be dangerous & disturbe any other public vehicles...
Around Java island itself.. the trip in TOLL road meantime as long as 1200 km... could take 10 - 12 hours.. so mostly its aranged the departures in the afternoon and will arrive at destination cities around midnight till morning..

Well, drivers in developing countries tend to have more sense then developed countries. They not follow the rules, they just follow their sense.
Another reason why very few trucks using toll road are most of truck are overloaded and run slowly (below 30Mph in most cases). Using toll road will make tire wear faster. Tire is key component in transport cost here beside fuel.

The speed limit actually at 100 km/h 😂 (for intercity highway) and 80 km/h for (inner city toll road)
Try Night Bus, so you will get Amazing experience. Especially at Saturday and Sunday Night, there is Buses everywhere on the highway, it's more intens and dominant on the road. it's feel like Country of the Bus especially on the Cikampek-Cipali highway.
