- Skimbleshanks isn’t the only railway cat - there’s also Mittens from West Yorkshire, who often joins owner Jonathan Lawton at his model railway.
On a recent occasion, Lawton fitted a camera to one of his trains as Mittens towered above, prowling along the line. “Watch out for the cat,” he wrote on Twitter.

My neighbors cat used to come over and she would ask for permission to jump on the couch but I always said no. She so smart she never jumped on our couch. Cats are amazing animals

I love model train hobbyists with these beautiful setups who just let their cats roam around it. I never knew how much I enjoy seeing it until I stumbled across a Japanese youtuber who did the same lol.

The train actually went through the cat's legs,haha.My Dad had a model railway and our cat knocked the train off the track in the tunnel.We could hear My Dad's swearing from upstairs.
