Yes, it's celebrated that way here, especially in my city, Mathura. It's famous for its Holi worldwide and it's very very crowded here during that time! And we have different types of Holi in our city, for eg...laddoo, flowers, stick, colors...Normally it's 1-2 days festival, but here it's celebrated for more than 2 weeks at different parts of the city and on the main day, the whole city celebrates!😂

Everyone celebrates Holi in India. Earlier we would play with the entire community. But post-covid, we celebrate it with our closest family and friends. So yes, even with covid, we will still celebrate it. A little extra color and fun is always welcome in our lives, right? Especially since covid had made all our lives a little depressing.... You guys can celebrate it in Korea too, just play your favorite music, get some holi colors (gulal as we call it) to play with, get some good food and drinks and you are set. It's just like a fun party with some colors!

@@thehawkseye3412 Only if you see it in a religious manner, then no. I also had the same notion when I was at home in the north. Once I went to college in the south, it held a different meaning, it was a day of celebration for all, some of my friends even included eggs in the madness 🤣🤣🤣 I have so many stories!!
Now we are at an age where different cultures are mingling with each other and influencing each other. And thus the way we celebrate the festivals are also changing in a manner where more people are getting involved. Anyway, it is fun for me and my close knit friends group who belong from different cultures, religions and different places to come together and celebrate!

Holi has no specific date as you are saying in the video. Holi is celebrated at the end of winter, on the last full moon day of the Hindu luni-solar calendar month marking the spring, making the date vary with the lunar cycle. The date falls typically in March, but sometimes late February of the Gregorian calendar. So holi does not come always on 18th march.

    • @thehawkseye3412
