Let the end of this video serve as a reminder as to why I usually don't go off-script.
And as a reminder as to why you should go off-script
Frake left his last club because of the russia situation not because he was fired.
Why did the thumbnail change
;
fg
Your next longer video needs be what the hell is going on at Staines FC…Please
Just a small correction, Rúben Amorim won the Taça da Liga (league cup) with Braga, not the Taça de Portugal (domestic cup). Braga did win the cup, but that was in the season following his departure, when they were managed by Carlos Carvalhal.
No he never won it at all he wasn't playing for them at that point dummy 🤣
The "fox milk" tangent was the greatest ramble in Hitc sevens history 🤣🤣🤣
Second, the greatest tangent(s) was Ashley Young's bird poop misfortune 🤣
Fun fact:Andre Villas Boas has taken part in the Rally Dakar in 2018 and the Rally Portugal in 2022.
I think you downplayed Mou's achievements at Real a bit. He achieved a historic league season in 2011/12, breaking record after record, and more importantly brought with him a winning mentality that still resonates today. And although he couldn't win a CL, he certainly laid the groundwork for Real's successes over the next few years.
Yes laaaaawd
As a Barca supporter, I loathe Mourinho. But as a football lover, I respect what he did to Real during his first 2 years at the club (though his third year at Real exposed him to the world as a butthurt little man, and he should have got fired).
a documentary on the afc Wimbledon on the nine promotions in eleven years, how they’re a fan own club and how they have a stadium in plough lane now.
The story of they lost the club, how the F A allowed that and won’t allow that anymore.
How they were very close to moving to ireland
How they went up the English football leagues.
It would be a good documentary video if you can do this. #thepeopleschannel
@of_waffles thanks
It is up to Alfie, he does like some lower league documentaries 😊
Same sounds really good
Would love to see this
Everyone knows about Wimbledon you were the medias lovechild of the lower leagues and overly romanticised
@@philthornton1382 well having their club stolen and then moving 60 miles away and then winning promotion all the way up to the football league in 9 years is pretty impressive
"Or you wouldn't of clicked on this video" please Alfie, I'll watch any and every video you ever make, world class CZcamsr!
Will be Interesting to see how Julian Nagelsmann does in his second season at Bayern müchen 😊
Depends on Lewandowski staying or leaving because without him they ain't the same
I dont think he'*ll do well to be honest. For me hes the poorest appointment since Kovac. However the majority of FCB fans would sooner see Brazzo gone than Nagelsmann.
@@ac14cmpunk25 that’s why they got Mane
@@neilefc877 some coaches are good but they just cant manage a club. Guardiola is a brilliant manager but would be awful at West Ham or Fulham.
Interesting fact, Mark Hughes actually managed QPR against Man City in that fateful final game 2012.
I think that's a part of the conspiracy that game was rigged
@@od9694 😂😂😂😂 you think it’s rigged?
@@fatherruben8135 no I dont think it was rigged but I've heard a serious of arguments that it was fishy and I'd be far from certain it wasn't rigged
@@fatherruben8135 it was rigged
They kicked the ball straight back to city from kickoff
Don’t mean to stroke your ego Alfie but the main reason I watch your videos is the humour. The juxtaposition between extremely detailed, serious narratives and then ridiculous jokes and impressions is just brilliant.
Great video Alfie, maybe one already on your radar but a video along the lines of most surprising or most unexpected manager appointments of all time would be very interesting!
Day 279: Indonesia XI If All Eligible Players Had Declared For Them.
Day 279: Shut up.
See lie 😂
That idea is totally dry mate tbh. 11 randoms nobodys ever heard of.
@@bricktop. You would be surprised how many Dutch and Surinamese player are eligible for Indonesia . Apparently Van Persie had a Indonesian grandmother which made him eligible.
@@bricktop. I can only think of Nainggolan lmao
Thanks again for your videos Alfie. Found this one interesting know 3 of the 7, which wasn’t too bad
Make a video about Girona FC, or the city group as a whole. Girona just promoted to the Primera Division with only 3 City loanees, of which only 1 played even a small role.
Wait are you finaly making a bodø-glimt documentary? Awesome
18:37- quite possibly the single greatest moment in HITC Sevens history
Little peek into a future video! Would love to hear more about Bødo/Glimt
Thank you, you are full of wonderful trivia. Your modesty knows no bounds. Well done you were a great laugh with my lunch.
Andre Villas-Boas has to be one of the Greatest Managerial Disappointments in Footballing History ….. ⚽️
He is
I think another good video idea would be something about loyalty as in what’s happened to loyalty to clubs or something similar to that
Simple clubs don't have loyalty to players/managers anymore so why should players shoe loyalty to clubs? This comes from the board and members of the fan base calling for their players head after one bad game or a not world class season
Wonderful ramblings! The fox one was great. =D
That comment in the beginning gives me the same vibes as though "i was a navy seal and graduated top of my class" style comments you get when someone loses playing online. Got a good chuckle though, keep up the amazing work mate.
Not watched the Video yet, but just commenting on the thumbnail...almost certain Villa paid us £3-4.5 million for Gerrard and his staff. So will be interested to see where the £21m figure comes from 😅
Edit - watched it now. You had me there for a second lol 😆
He was clickbaiting
A documentary on Glasgow Rangers and their rise in the recent years from losing 4-0 to Celtic and clubs from Luxemburg to reaching a European final this year and wining the League last year
2 second place finish mate
I don’t know if it was on purpose but I like the way when u went on a tangent talking about foxes when discussing Brendan rogers, whenever you said where was I u used a picture of Northern Ireland where Brendan is from
Alfie good job, my recommendation to you on continuing this topic 7 or more managers that commanded the largest fee as players.
The commenter that you had on screen at the beginning was 100% correct.
love the vids dude but that 5 min intro tho lmao
A video about the success story of Port Vale since Carol Shanahan took over, considering we just won the playoff final. Her charity work, bringing in Darrell Clark, then the things he went through this season. Plus we were on a winning streak and 1 point off the playoffs and she voted to end the first covid season early..... AND the failed Jose Mariano's mate experiment that for us relegated!
I did look at the wikipedia page for manager's fees the other day after watching your video on the biggest transfers, but I've already forgotten the list
Ofcourse Gerrard is nowhere near this list.
Request for new video: do the most expensive transfer fees of all time adjusted for inflation. Having seen the list that is available online, this looks it might be very interesting because I've never heard of a few of them. I am a fairly new fan of football but I'm guessing at least a few will have some interesting side stories.
So Hughes was once the most expensive manager, and also once the most expensive British player
Just a heads-up: The ç in "taça" is read as a double s (like in "grass"), not a hard "c" ^_^
Please do a video: best starting XI using managers in the top 5 leagues during their prime in their playing days
You got me curious so I had a look.
Mostly in England and Spain, who are pretty much all midfielders ...
EPL: Gerrard, Lampard, Pep, Vieira, Conte
LL: Xavi, Ancelloti, Simeone, Gattuso
BL - Magath
L1 - Poch (stretching it)
SA - Motta (same)
In other countries ...
Belgium - Kompany (CB 🥳)
Austria - Klose (striker)
Scotland - GvB (LB or LWB)
Ireland - Duff (winger)
ECL - Rooney, Tomasson
@@Shades-of-76 good point it would be a very stacked midfield. I can’t think of any goalkeepers who turned into managers but I’d love an HITCSPORT video on it
@@N0ahBennett can’t think of many. Previously, Zoff but currently only Nuno ES and Lopetegui come to mind ...
14:50 you googled "can you milk a fox" and the most unrelated thing you found was chocolate...
...that's a brave search; being on the internet, I'd expect far more explicit material from that query...
Quick correction at 9:18, Mourinho won the Serie A and Super Cup during his first season in Italy, not the league and cup double.
I think Julian Nagelsmann boss would utilise more on good friend Sadio Mane based on the attacking sense that Bayern Munich have together with Kingsley Coman and Leroy Sane mainly in the left sided midfield position, good friends!!!🙏
That fox milk tangent was quite something 🤣
Julian Nagelsmann getting fired this season suggests it was not money well spent
Hi Alfie can you do a video on Harry Redknapp top signings
Comments section " do 7 greatest elephant parking spots in the Indian Football league based on stadium shade availablity "
The comment at the start is too true.
What about a list of the highest compensations paid out to sacked managers?
The highest paid per club appearance?
Every bpl teams worst player to play for them or just worst signings?
Could you do a what if series? Examples being what if ferguson was sacked early at united or what if Gerrard never slipped or what if tevez never signed for west ham or what if Mike Ashley dipped his hand in his pocket
There was a guy that got 16m pay out. Probably Mourinho
@@007Fusiion something in my head says capello got over 10m
Ok great vid
starting to watch this and before the list starts my thought is "there needs to be at least 2 portuguese managers on here"
So seeing Mourinho in 5th means there will be 3 Portuguese managers in here. Amorim and AVB still upcoming!
18:36 wtf was that!! LOL 🤣
Fun fact : Barry Fry lives in the next street from me. I often see him in the post office.
Vee are ein sehr gut franchise.
bit of a bait-and-switch there with Steven Gerrard.
HITC Sevens: Come for the football, leave knowing that the milk foxes produce is sweet.
Day 45: Considering that the last player who played in the miracle of Bern died about 7 months ago, I would really like to see a video about the whole story between Germany and Hungary, especially because it meant so much to at least the German population
How is Dembele from Dortmund to Barcelona not in your list of the 7 most expensive player transfers you named early on in the video? He cost Barca 140m EUR, which is more than Coutinho, Felix, Griezmann, Grealish, and Lukaku.
The correct list would actually be: Neymar (222m), Mbappe (180m), Dembele (140m), Coutinho (135m), Felix (127m), Griezmann (120m), Grealish (117.5m) narrowly beating out CR7 (117m) - all prices in EUR.
If you need help with translation for the Bodø/Glimt video I can help. Also may have some you can talk to for information on the club:)

He cost Barca 140m EUR, which is more than Coutinho (135m EUR), Felix, Griezmann, Grealish, and Lukaku. Also, Lukaku's 113m are lower than the 117m Juventus paid for CR7. Of course you’re the modest genius 😅😂🤣
Hahahaha, I thought that was Keith Lemon, not Troopz!
Day "I'm not really counting and asking not frequently enough, but who cares": Clubs, that have never been promoted. The Hamburger SV got really really close this year to breaking this statistic, but for at least another year, they are the only German Club, that has never been promoted, but always played in the highest possible league, until their only relegation so far. Would be really interesting, if there are other European clubs, that fit have never been promoted.
It really took 2:45 until The Great Alfie started🤣
never thought Id hear the properties of fox milk being explained by a football channel
To all those who read the comments before watching the video, he's not lying in the intro don't bother wasting your time and braincells pausing the vid
Joachim was Flick's former assistant, sure didn't know that
If you ever have trouble pronouncing Portuguese clubs or names... just pronounce them as they are in english + a or o.
Académica is read "Academic-uh" for example. Vitória Guimarães (actually called Vitória Sport Club) is read Vitory-uh SC, and so on.
For words with ç just pretend it's a double s (like for example "taça" = tass-uh , similar to the word toss; or Gonçalo Guedes = Gonssalo Ggeds).
My guy Seneca
What I learned from this video is that young managers have high release clause
My wife, a diehard Benfica fan, has said she'll never forgive Amorim for going to Sporting.
it not amorim fault from going to Sporting it just benfica board are idiots that will never signed an good players
Who else read this lads "my wife" in a borat voice??????
Hughes move being on the list isn’t that surprising if you actually recall the circumstances surrounding it and the reality of football at that time.
So why have Steven Gerrand from Rangers to Aston Villa in the Thumbnail when it has nothing to do with the video?
To sucker the likes of u in to watching the video.......
🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
At least it shows Aston Villa didn't pay absurdly over the odds.
Day 19 - The Fall and Rise of FK Velež Mostar
From a Club that has beaten Borussia Dortmund, Twente, Derby County and many others to a club that was forced from their own stadium, reduced to nothing during the Bosnian War, becoming a mediocre top-level team in the 00s to nearly being forced into folding in 2016 to its amazing rise back to the top-level football which culminated in return to Europe after 33 years and recent cup win
"Seneca's adopted son"
Rule of Thumb: if you ever see someone toting the name of a roman/greek scholar as their screen name in a way which implies they're connected to them, or a modern equivalent, prepare to read some of the most pretentious, nonsensical wank you've ever encountered.
Wow that comment was all over the place.
That comment at the start has to be satire
7 greatest German players
I actually paused the video to read the comment :)
I think the poster was coming from a well-meaning place but was probably just having a bad day. While Alfie has made his political views quite clear on this channel (which is absolutely his right) I wouldnt criticize anyone for how they make their living especially considering how well managed, productive and informative this channel is.
7 Greatest Nigerian players
Preach!!!!🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
uno you can pause it and read right ?
Like we didn't pause it to read the whole thing
What happened to Panathinaikos?
14:52 bro apart from your knowledge about football you're f***in hilarious 😂
Was Hazard not more than most the dudes u had as most expensive players?
Bradford City got a mention :) i hope you do the rise and fall of Bradford that would great thanks. Problems with the chairman
I'm surprised that Alfie didn't run into reams of furry porn when he went searching for "milking a fox".
Seneca is not wrong.
Day 492: Ways to fix VAR with your suggestions
The highlighted comment gave me a migraine
A more interesting one would be the biggest managerial pay offs. I’m not saying for one minute that this wasn’t interesting btw
Prior to watching the famous 7 managers. I'd say that Jose Mourinho is right up ther, what with all his buy out payments.
Best German players in the premier league of all time. (Day 341)
I will not give up until the video is made or Alfie himself tells me to stop. Everyone else telling me that will be ignored.
If you don't believe my number, just go back to the previous videos. I'm at the bottom most of the time, but I'm there.
Day 341: Shut up.
Pester power is for kids! How many days, did you ask for your mum to buy you a nintendo switch, before she did?
I paused it to read that comment. I regret my choice.
Rangers got £4 million for Steve g
Please make your videos 7 minutes as well, I never have time for them
11:30 what a stupid reason to ban someone
You still indeed are Shoutie Alfie, just slower
Pretty sure Dembele cost more than Grealish.
Ah...The sordid topic of coin once more 😏 Right on the precipice of pending global recession 😳
hm, fox milk
I took the time to read Seneca´s Adoptive Son´s comment, and I think he (self-proclaimed "son") was just in a wrong video. Maybe he had two videos playing at the same time and the other was about socio-economical system problems lately, and he then wrote a HUGE comment about the problems, challenges and inequalities in hiring managers in football clubs to crowd that is only interested in such topics. But he had a point from Tech Monopolies onward, point that belongs somewhere else.
Day 204 of asking why is messi better than pele
My first thought was AVB, particularly as he's an awful manager!
He stopped waffling and the video actually starts at 2:49
