I like that despite being reclusive and detached from the world for most of the time, he has a strong conscience, and he never trades his morality for anything. He was a fully fledged supporter of suit of armour, and still accepted blame after Ultron's creation. He convinced Tony to contact Steve during infinity war. He was disgusted by Thanos' genocide, and still didn't agree with Rhodes' plan to kill baby Thanos.
He is also very heroic. He rushed to protect Vision against Cull, attacked when Thanos arrived, brought everyone back by the blip.
I understand why, but it's still a shame that he couldn't lift Mjolnir. Hopefully, the avengers never forgot his importance.
