- Beatrix potter house Hill Top Farm in the lake District is a Great place to visit if you are a true Beatrix potter fan. You could also say it is the home of Peter Rabbit , Jemima puddle duck, Squirrel nutkin and many more of her famous characters. Hill top farm the home of Beatrix potter is located in the village of Near Sawrey and has many buildings such as the Tower bank arms, buckle yeat, the post office and the pickle shop. These places are still there today as a reminder of her imaginative world of animals and then brought to life in her books :) Beatrix Potter is a true British Icon and is still alive in our hearts today. The growing audience that spans as far as Japan attracts many visitors and with The New Peter rabbit full movie out in cinemas, this is only growing in a wider audience.
Beatrix potter home Hilltop farm also showcases her lovely garden and some great watercolours. No Visit to the lake district should be without a Beatrix potter house visit.

I went to hilltop farm a few years back and also had a drink at the pub just down the road from where Hilltop farm which is featured in one of her books. I have also been to the office where her husband worked as a lawyer in Hawkshead which is now an art gallery of all of Beatrice potters art work and i also went to the world of Beatrice Potter. when you can see her characters come to life and they have a magnificent gift shop with anything you want in relation to Beatrice potters work. I have totally lost count of how much stuff I have in relation to Beatrice Potter as I feel I’m going to have to get another room added onto my house just to house all of my wonderful items. I must say that Hilltop farm was the icing on the cake just to be in the garden and the house of where all of these great books and her imagination came from. her love for the Lake District was lovely and the fact that she brought most of the land and donated it to the National Trust so that it could not be built on was lovely because she preserved so much of the Lake District. I am so pleased you loved your Beatrice Potter experience.

I used to read her many stories to my now grown-up children when they were young from THE COMPLETE TALES OF BEATRIX POTTER. You two have done THE BEST personal video thus far. I especially appreciate going into the doll's house, and going into the pub, and other places in the village associated with her characters. Truly a 💎, your video!
