About this video -
This video is all about Lungchu - a small village in Kalimpong. This place is 12Km. far from Lava, beside of Kolakham and just 3 KMs ahead of the highest waterfall in West Bengal, Changey Falls at an altitude of 5250ft.
This homestay is wonderfully maintained and decorated with flowers. And most importantly you can enjoy the Kanchanjangha view for all time. The 180-degree sight of the snow-covered Kanchendzonga range adds to the allure of the place. (Depend on weather condition).
This place is a must visit due to its marvelous scenic beauty all around. Lungchu is under Neora Valley forest region, so it's filled with lushes greens of Pine, Oak, Deodar forest.
Sightseeing from Lungchu
Changey Falls is 3 km walking distance from Lungchu Nature stay. By hiring a car you can visit nearby places like Lava Monastery, Lolegaon Hanging Bridge, Kolakham, Ryshope, Kalimpong, Delo Park, Cactus Garden, Rishikhola River, Aritar and Mulkharka Lake.
Best time to visit
Lungchu Actually round the year you can visit Lungchu. The months of October to April are the best months to visit Lungchu to experience the panoramic view. But a lot will also depend on the reason for your trip. For example, if you were looking to find Kanchenjunga, you should plan in November to February. For enjoying lush green vistas; plan a trip in July, August or September.

Had been there 2 weeks back.The location is beautiful . The food is awesome and they will prepare according to your need also. They are very friendly people and very helpful.
However room maintenance is very poor. Walls are dampy and plasters peeling off in places.Extensive fungus on wooden frames in the rooms and washrooms.Everytime I entered the room I sneezed.The air was so dusty and musty. Bedsheets and pillow covers did not seem very clean.Luckily I had my own ones.

A very stiff climbing of 30 meters from car parking zone is painfully for elder people .
I stayed in the best kanchanjangha viewable room on top floor.
No fitting in bathroom forced to keep minimum toiletries on floor of bathroom.
Variety of nature is very limited in comparison to the other places of North Bengal like Ramdhura, Sangseer, kafer gaon etc.
Garden turned into bushes.
Over crowded by flower trees making them battling each other.
Canopy is very narrow not widely spread make it's stuffy
Perfect holiday destination for those who wants Isolation - Ekanth for meditation.
Traveling in North Bengal from 2010 .
I also visited this place seeing blog but experience is very bitter.

This October 25th we planned for a vacation in Lungchu. The place is remote yet indeed a pleasant peaceful one. But the staffs out there weren't appropriate. One of them tried to threaten me while being drunk as I asked them to stop burning crackers due to much noice. Being the only family boarding the homestay that night, couldn't take the risk so had to leave the homestay a day prior of the actual leaving date. We incurred a loss of 4000/-
That is very unfortunate.

Horrible experience because of improper maintenance of the resort.
No geezer in this cold area. No water purifier for filter water.
Improper maintenance of garden turned into jungle.
Over crowded by flower trees ina nichhe area battling with each other.
