    If you didn’t live when Michael played you just can’t understand the excitement of watching a live game and knowing that Michael Jordan was going to do something amazing in every game. He didn’t do load management or take nights off to rest. He knew that the fans paid their hard earned money to see him and he always delivered. LeBron is a great basketball player but I think that if Michael played for 20 years in a league that doesn’t allow you to touch your opponent he would easily be the all time leading scorer by a mile. Michael wasn’t just a great basketball player, he was an artist, and he was a killer!

      Yes dude yes!! Kids these days don’t know. It was like going to a rock concert everytime the bulls were in town. Time has already been better to MJ even after how hard LeBron tried to take over. LeBron will be looked at in a negative light when it’s all said and done. Great player, terrible personality

      Much of Michaels success comes at the expense of ignoring everyone that helped him get to that level. If Michael traveled the same road that LeBron had to travel, he woulda been less successful. If LeBron had Pippen, Grant, Rodman, Phil Jackson, ect for a consistent period in his career he could win six+ titles as well.

One could make the case that LeBron has had more elite teammates through his career than any other player in NBA history. And yet all he’s got to show for it is 3 rings and an asterisk.

    • @StayTunedReviews
      @StayTunedReviews Před 2 lety +7

      @@bretviola6871 Who said anything about those players being trash? Not me. I simply implied that Jordan wouldnt have accomplished what he did with those players. Most Jordans fans would consider the players of today to be soft and claim that they wouldnt have lasted in Jordans era and to some extent I would agree. LeBron didn't get a chance to play with any of those players while they were in their prime and ready to prove. Jordan played with his surrounding cast while they were in their prime. Jordans surrounding cast also made it easier for him to play more and pad his own stats.

      @@StayTunedReviews You said if LeBron had players like the ones you named for a consistent period of time he’d have more chips than MJ. So you obviously don’t think much of the players I named because he actually played the majority of his career with said players and only has the 3 legitimate chips and the asterisk bubble chip that was a total joke. What you don’t know is that Michael Jordan was thought to be the best basketball player in the world since his rookie season. Had he continued to be that player he’d have never won a championship though. He had to learn to play with and trust his teammates in order to make it to the Magic and Bird status of “winner”.

      He did. You are right. A lot of fans don’t really understand that about MJ. Some of it came out in the last dance. Right out the gate , MJ had some humble pie . His older brother Larry would always beat him in ball at home. Then he got cut from the high school team . In the nba his team could not beat magic or BIrd . Then the pistons physically beat him down. MJ toughened up . It’s incredible because he didn’t give up. It really wasn’t him personally though he just lacked skilled coaching and good role players . It all came together with pippen and Phil Jackson . And the rest is history ! I personally don’t think there will ever be another MJ. It’s not just his skills and athleticism, it’s his insatiable appetite to win and undying work ethic. Many have the natural talent and athleticism but lack that work ethic and competitiveness.

  • @edtechspecialist
    @edtechspecialist Před rokem +2

    Rex's opening answer is super-insightful. It is a question that, if Rex personally asked Michael, would be most meaningful coming from Chapman. Rex was a transcendent HS basketball player, probably the best ever in KY. Rex's dominance in HS could be compared to that of Lew Alcindor for Power Memorial, Kenny Anderson for Archbishop Malloy, LeBron James for Saint Vincent-Saint Mary, Kobe Bryant for Lower Merion, etc. But MJ was NOT that guy in HS. He famously lost to Buzz Peterson for North Carolina's Mr. Basketball, and then proceeded to embarrass Buzz daily in practice at UNC. Given that context and the fact that MJ recruited Chapman to North Carolina, they were friendly off the court as pros, both shared David Fallk as an agent, Rex's question is great... MJ eventually became that guy that Rex knew himself to be in HS and college, but when did it happen for Mike?
